"Oh hello! Is this Alex?" Was the first thing his father said once he saw we were occupying the living room.

"No, this is Amelia, Alex is my ex." Tristan explained and I tried to hard not to laugh.

"Oh!" His eyes widened once he realised his mistake. "So sorry Amelia, let's start again shall we?" He said awkwardly and I just nodded, giving him a shy smile.

He pretended to knock again and walk in.

"Hi! Now Tristan who is this?" He asked, jokingly, I guessed he was just trying to make me feel better.

"This is my girlfriend, Amelia." He emphasised on my name.

"Oh hello Amelia, I'm Michael( I don't actually know his dads name so imma use Michael)"

"Hi, nice to meet you." I wanted so desperately to make a good impression on him.

"You look familiar, have we met before?" He asked and I furrowed my eyebrows, I didn't recognise him.

"No I don't think so."

"Right."

"Dinner will be ready in about half an hour." His mother called from the kitchen.

"Well excuse me, I'm going to get into something comfortable." He gestured to his work clothes and I nodded.

Tristan just looked at me before we both burst into a fit of laughter,

"Sorry about that." He laughed awkwardly but I brushed it off.

Dinner went by quickly, I told them about the whole college thing and they were a lot more understanding than my parents.

They told me that most twenty one year olds haven't got a clue so I wasn't alone, they also told me to go for my talents and go off that because if I liked something that having a job in it would be easy and wouldn't even be considered working.

"Your parents are the nicest." I said to Tristan as we were getting ready for bed that night.

"They love you, I could tell."

"I mean who doesn't?"

"Who's the modest one now?"

"How do you know?"

"How do I know what?"

"That they love me."

"When I was helping mum with the dishes she told me not to fuck it up."

"That makes me really happy."

"You make me really happy."

"I'm kind of cringing at the cuteness but at the same time that was the cutest thing you've ever said to me." I gave him a hug, wrapping my legs around his waist.

"What can I say, I'm adorable."

"What happened to manly, sexy and handsome?"

"Eh depends on my mood." He shrugged.

"I'm tired."

"Go to sleep."

"I enjoy looking at you way too much."

"Are we having a competition on who can be more cringe slash cute?"

"I think so."

"I'm winning."

"Are not."

"Am too." He fought, I flipped him the bird and got off him, making sure to push my ass out so he could see it. "Right that's not fair." He started to complain and I smirked.
