I pulled hair up into a high ponytail and threw on some slippers before making my way to the kitchen, Charlie was already there.
"Morning." She said, not looking up from her laptop.
"I'm going to hand out resumes today." I told her as I popped the kettle on, getting two cups out because I knew she'd want a cup of tea.
"Oh really? Where?"
"Tea?" I asked before I answered her question, she nodded and waited for my reply. "I don't know really, shops, I just need something to make money."
I made the tea and put it on a coaster in front of her.
"What are you looking at on that?" She hadn't looked up from the computer since I walked in.
"Have you been on twitter?"
"No? Why?"
"Tristan looks a bit too comfy with a girl him and the boys went out with." She turned the laptop to face me and I saw pictures of a brown haired girl and him, they were whispering in one another's ears.
"I'm sure they're just chatting, he wouldn't do that." I tried to reassure her and myself so I wouldn't cry. "The boys wouldn't let him do that." I added and she raised her brow.
"I'll talk to him about when he rings me." I finished my tea and stood up placing it in the dishwasher. "I'm going to get ready."
"Don't let this get to you, focus on getting a job, okay?"
I just mumbled a response and she sent me death stare. "Okay."
I ran upstairs and threw on a black skirt with tights, boots and a black top, I wanted to look presentable, I did my make up and once I was happy with my look I grabbed a black handbag and threw my essentials in it.
"Okay honey, I'm off, wish me luck!" I said to Charlie as I left the apartment, I heard her shout something back but I didn't quite catch it.
I got into my car and drove straight to a shopping centre, praying there would be someone looking for maybe a shop assistant, I wasn't very hopeful, I wasn't a very lucky person.
"Hello." I said to an middle aged woman in the first shop I went into, it was a clothes shop but very formal and elegant.
"Hello dear, how may I help you with anything?" She had a thick British accent and she was very posh, so it sounded.
"I was wondering if you have jobs available? I have resumes to hand out and I was wondering if you could just take a look at them, if you don't mind." I smiled as wide as I could and she looked down at my hands, the resumes occupied them.
"I'll take a look," she smiled, I returned one and walked out,
I did the same with around 10 shops, so hopefully one will call me back.

I flopped on the couch six hours later, wrecked and just wanting to sleep after searching for a job for the whole day.
"How did it go?" Charlie joined me and sprawled out, both of our bodies tangling with each other, the only difference she was in fluffy pyjamas while I was clad in formal clothes.
"I don't even know, shop assistants are all so fake, you'd never know if they liked me or not." I flipped through the channels on the tv, not paying that much attention just trying to find some background music whilst Charlie and I chatted.
"I got a phone call from a new modelling agency, it's based in London," She informed and I hummed in response, urging her to continue. "I'm going to go for it."
