I stood outside of the pack house with about a hundred guards on foot, in the trees, and on the roofs. This pack has gotten a lot more defensive since we were attacked nearly three years ago. The warriors were not only now trained in hand to hand combat in their human form and their wolf form, but they were also trained in knife fighting and in shooting. We had some of the best snipers in America in our pack.

These wolves are fast learners, especially when it comes to ways to protect their pack.

Some of the warriors on ground were in their wolf forms, pacing back and forth as we waited. The snipers on the roofs were ready to shoot if need be. Some of the warriors in the trees had their knives ready for throwing.

The whole pack was ready for our missing wolves to come home.

The only people who were not warriors who weren't placed in safe rooms was myself and the residing Alpha Stan.

"They are almost here, Luna," Stan informed me. "The government vehicles have passed the main gates and passed inspection."

Now, every vehicle going in and out of this pack was thoroughly checked for anything that could be halfway considered dangerous to this pack or the members of this pack.

Stan had really done a great job at making sure that the pack was at its best. His mate and I were constantly involved with everything. Well, I was told of everything that was going on. I refused to make any decisions since I wasn't technically the Luna anymore, Stan's mate was, and I wasn't really at the best mental state to help.

I honestly was the only person who didn't believe that the missing wolves would come home. I went from the positive one to the negative one so fast.

"There are nine SUVs." Sam relaid the messages that were being sent to him from some warriors, who were following the vehicles, via their mind link. "The Alpha is in the last SUV."

I nodded, keeping my eyes on the driveway. "How many government employees are there?" I asked.

Stan took a minute, most likely asking my question to someone over the mind link. "Two in each vehicle. Six wolves in each vehicle."

Those warriors were packed in those SUVs like sardines. There was no way that six warrior werewolves would be comfortable in one vehicle, especially if there were two others were in the vehicles with them.

Warrior wolves were generally big, muscular men and women.

I kept my anger filled opinions about the seating to myself as I waited for the vehicles to arrive. It took about six minutes to get from the pack land's entrance point to the pack house.

"The Alpha will be glad that you are healthy, Luna." Stan was trying to start a conversation with me as we waited.

I just nodded. I had lost a lot of weight between giving birth to JJ and finding out that my love was still alive and coming home. When we were given the news of Jess's return three months ago, I began to eat more and healthier and even train with the warriors.
