Sabo x Ace

My most challenging couple and long-lasting one.

The overall point that I wanted to depict was this couple was that communication will always be an issue between people who love each other, no matter how long you have been together or known each other. There will always be misunderstandings and words left unsaid, but sometimes it's takes a leap of faith and love to just understand. Communication will make or break it, and sometimes you just have to let things be.

Sabo could with forgive because he understood that Ace would never apologize for something he did in passion. It might not have come as easy or as quick sometimes, but their love was more important than whatever was on his mind.

Ace was a talker, but he could listen when other were silent. Sabo wasn't ever comfortable with verbally expressing his feelings because he was always taking care of everyone else that when ever he thought about he self it couldn't quite make sense. Always so business looking after others that's when he looked in the mirrior things weren't quite right. Nothing Ace every could say would bring total comfort, and he wondered if it was worth the shot.

Thankfully, it always was, for the both of them.

Kid x Law

My favorite couple to write in this story who didn't get as much time as they should have, but they have their own different book by me so.

Their main struggle was inferiority complexes. A lot of couples struggle with this expessically older ones because there is usually a gape in wages, education, or physique. Kidd was the one who felt the butt of the joke, and it was shown with understanding from Law's POV moreso. Kidd knew off the bat that his boyfriend was the perfect highschooler: athletic, smart, rich, and hot. Kid was only the first of those things. He always tried to scrap up something to show law he was just as relevant.

The big game was his last hope with everyone saying in his ear that they didn't understand why they were together. Especially Heat.

After being saved by Kidd, Law let go of his stubbornness and excuses to admit That he wasn't so perfect on this inside as he was on the outside. That he was just as insecure and afraid as anyone his age was, and that Kidd wasn't something he wanted. Kidd was a necessity at that point.

Yes, Kidd will always have a subconscious thought that he needs to improve, but Law will be there to help him, and a reminder that he's just as good, if not perfect.

Zoro x Sanji

Romeo and Josh of the book. The star crossed loves and main characters.

The classic angel and demon couple. Sanji was fine before meeting Zoro only to be nearly raped then sexually traumatized by the experience. Not able to let go of either Zoro or Gin he becomes mentally sick as the demons/toxic people hover overhead. Zoro then takes matter into his own hands, and the rest is a series of plot twist.

Zoro through the first half of the book shows signs of aggression that aren't understood until his assault of  Gin and Perona backstory. Not right or wrong, Sanji struggles to understand. I'm the end he chooses to heal himself before telling Zoro how to once again see the light while getting rid of his toxic insides.

Of course, neither of them will ever again be in total light or darkness, but find a comfortable grey area in between that comes with compromises and rough seas. It might not be ideal, but Ride or Die is what they are.
