Let Me Help You

Chapter Four

Kihyun sat smiling as he watched his friends fight over a movie. He laughed as he watched Minhyuk push Hyungwon over and start to wrestle with him. He watched Wonho walk up and pull them apart.

"It's just a movie guys. There is no reason to fight this much over it." Wonho said as he turned to look at Kihyun. "If you want to wear that sweater you can go change into it." 

"I know I was just waiting for a little bit." Kihyun said as he stood up and walked to his stuff.

He grabbed the bag with the sweater in it and walked towards the bathroom. He turned on the light and closed the door. He took off his shirt and looked at himself in the mirror. He frowned at the bruises on his back, stomach, and sides. He grabbed the sweater out of the bag and slid it on. He smiled at himself with the sweater on and folded his shirt before walking out of the bathroom. He stopped in the kitchen to throw the bag away and walked towards the living room. He heard his friends talking to someone else but he couldn't recognize the voice. He walked out of the kitchen and saw Hyungwon and Jooheon shake their heads at him. He stared at them confused for a moment before Shownu walked over to him and drug him back to the kitchen. 

"Why can't I go out there?" Kihyun said as he looked at his friend with a confused look. 

"Jiseok is in there. He's wondering where you are and why you're spending the night here. He doesn't think you should spend the night. He seems pretty angry." Shownu said as he looked at Kihyun.

Kihyun took the sweater off and put his shirt on. He handed the sweater to Shownu and put on a smile before he walked out to the living room. When he walked out and found Jiseok in Wonho's face. Wonho looked like he was about to snap. Kihyun walked quickly to put himself between Jiseok and Wonho before a fight started. 

"Hey babe. What are you doing here?" Kihyun asked as he put a smile on his face.

"I came to talk to you." Jiseok said as he transferred his anger from Wonho to Kihyun.

"Okay let's talk outside." Kihyun said as he walked out the front door and Jiseok followed.

They walked outside and to Jiseok's car. He turned to look at Jiseok and saw how angry he was. He knew that Jiseok could lash out any minute so he had to choose his words carefully. He opened his mouth to speak when Jiseok started to speak.

"Why are you staying here?!" Jiseok asked yelling at Kihyun.

"I planned on staying and watching movies with my friends. Wonho just suggested that we all spend the night. I took him up on the offer since I won't want to walk home and my ride may not want to drive me home." Kihyun said as he looked at the ground.

"You don't need to stay the night here! Go grab your stuff I'm taking you home!" Jiseok yelled at him.

"I'm spending the night here Jiseok. I could care less what you think about that. These are my friends and I'm going to spend time with them. Goodbye." Kihyun said as he walked back to the front door.

He felt someone grab his arm and spin him around. Before he could react he felt something connect with his face and a sharp pain on his cheek. He looked up to see Jiseok's face red with anger. He stood up, turned around and walked to the front door. He opened the door and walked into the house. Once he was inside and the door was closed he slid down the door and grabbed his cheek. He started to cry and his friends ran to him. 

"What happened out there?" Hyungwon asked him as he moved Kihyun's hand to inspect his cheek. 

Kihyun didn't answer as he was in so much pain it hurt to try and move his mouth. He just whimpered when he tried to open his mouth. Changkyun moved his friends out of the way so Kihyun could have some room and sat down next to him. He didn't do anything to push Kihyun to talk or move. He just stayed silent and waited for Kihyun to be ready to talk. After a few minutes he felt Kihyun rest his head on his shoulder. He shifted to make Kihyun more comfortable and stayed still. He could feel the shaking of Kihyun's body as he cried and waited for it to pass. After about twenty minutes the crying stopped and Changkyun looked down at Kihyun. Kihyun wiped his eyes and looked up at Changkyun. 

"Thanks." Kihyun said as he smiled.

"Anytime." Changkyun said as he smiled back. 

Kihyun got up and walked to the living room where he sat on the couch. He looked around and found his sweater on the arm rest. He grabbed it and swapped his shirt for the sweater. He looked up at his friends and smiled.

"What happened out there?" Shownu asked the question they all wanted an answer to. 

"I had a talk with Jiseok and he didn't like my answer. I turned around and walked back." Kihyun said as he looked down at his lap. 

"Why did you come in crying and holding your cheek then?" Hyungwon asked.

"He grabbed me and either punched or slapped me. It's fine I'll be okay." Kihyun said as he looked at his friends smiling. 

"Kihyun that's not okay. That's abuse Kihyun." Minhyuk said.

"It's okay guys I promise. He's never hit me before." Kihyun said as he looked anywhere but his friends. 

"You would let us know if he hit's you again right?" Wonho asked.

"Yeah. I don't think he will." Kihyun said as he smiled at his friends.

"Okay. Just know we're here if you needs us." Shownu said.

"I know. Let's watch the movie." Kihyun said as he looked at the TV.

Wonho turned on the TV and started the movie. Kihyun fell asleep during the fifth movie and everyone looked at him with worried expressions. They finished the movie and turned off the TV before getting comfortable around the living room and falling asleep.
