Let Me Help You

Chapter Nine

The other five sat in Kihyun's living room waiting for the two to return. While they were waiting they picked out a movie and were watching it. Kihyun was curled up in Changkyun's side watching the movie intently. Changkyun was trying to focus on the movie but his mind kept wandering to how Kihyun only had on boxers and the sweater he got him. He can understand why he wouldn't want to wear pants but he could have worn some basketball shorts or sweatpants at least. He looked down to find that Kihyun was about to fall asleep but was fighting it.

"Why don't you go to sleep?" Changkyun asked watching as Kihyun looked up at him.

"Every time I close my eyes to even try and sleep I can only see him. The scene of him raping me replays in my head preventing me from sleeping." Kihyun said as he looked down with tears threatening to fall.

"I'm here and I won't let him get anywhere near you. You can lay your head in my lap if it'll help." Changkyun said.

"Thank you but I want to try and finish the movie first." Kihyun said with a small smile on his face.

Changkyun just nodded and looked back at the TV. He felt Kihyun move to get comfortable again. He looked at Kihyun when he felt him moving his arm.

"It's in the way so I'm not that comfortable." Kihyun said as he scooted closer and put Changkyun's arm around his shoulder's. 

Changkyun just shook his head smiling as he looked back to the TV. Just as he started to get interested in the movie he heard the front door opening. He felt Kihyun tense up next to him and tightened his arm around him. He watched with a glare as Shownu and Minhyuk came walking through the door. He loosened his grip on Kihyun and let out a sigh.

"What was that glare for Changkyun?" Shownu asked as he walked to the living room.

"I thought you might have been Jiseok." Changkyun said as he looked back to the TV.

"Do we need to make a secret knock so we all know who it is?" Minhyuk said as he smiled at everyone.

"No, I know for a fact that Jiseok would get it out of me anyway. It's either that or he'll hear one of you do it while he's here." Kihyun said as he looked down at his lap.

"Yeah, it would be safer for you if we didn't do that. We don't need our Kihyunnie to get hurt again." Hyungwon said as he moved over so Shownu could sit.

"I just wish I tried to leave him when he first started hitting me. No of this would have happened if I did." Kihyun said as he continued to look down.

"You were still in love with him at the time. You couldn't have known that it would have gone this far." Wonho said looking sadly at Kihyun.

"Yeah, don't blame yourself for what happened. He should know that abusing someone isn't right." Jooheon said.

"I know but because I didn't try to leave him Changkyun got hurt. It's all my fault he got hurt. He was trying to protect me and it got him hurt. I never wanted any of you to get hurt and now one of you did." Kihyun said as he looked up and a tear slid down his cheek.

"Don't ever blame yourself for something I did. I would always protect you no matter what. If we had to redo that entire situation I wouldn't have changed a thing. I can deal with a bruise for a week if it means I can keep you safe. I know that next time I need to work harder. You got hurt because I wasn't able to stop him." Changkyun said as he grabbed Kihyun's face and wiped the tears that started to fall.

"I know I shouldn't blame myself but I can't help it. My brain tells me that it's all my fault any of this happened. I just don't want it to happen again. I don't want you to get hurt again." Kihyun said as he started to sob.

"It's okay none of this will happen again. We're going to come up with a plan to catch him. We're going to make sure he can never hurt you again." Changkyun said as he hugged Kihyun closer.

"I was thinking about that and I think in order to catch him we need video proof." Jooheon said.

"And how exactly are we supposed to get video proof?" Hyungwon asked.

"We need to set up cameras around the house. If we set them up than the next time he even try's anything we'll have proof." Jooheon said.

"How are we supposed to hide the cameras? There is nothing to hide them in. No offense Kihyun." Minhyuk said as he smiled at Kihyun.

Kihyun just waved him off and curled up. He grabbed the edge of his sweater and pulled it over his knees. He was wiping the rest of the tears off his face while thinking.

"We could always buy things to hide them with. We'll just buy things that Kihyun would buy." Shownu said.

"If we did that Jiseok is sure to notice that something is up. He knows this house like the back of his hand. He knows when I get something new even if its something small." Kihyun said. 

"Is there anything this guys doesn't notice?" Changkyun asks.

"He usually doesn't notice when I get new clothes unless its a sweater. He also doesn't notice if I do anything with my hair." Kihyun said staring blankly at the coffee table.

"Great we can hide the camera's in his clothes and hair." Jooheon said as he flopped back in his seat.

"Do you think he would notice if we placed a small on in the corners of rooms?" Wonho said staring at the corner between the ceiling and the walls.

"If it was small and it didn't have a wire then he probably wouldn't notice. He doesn't really pay much attention to the corners and walls." Kihyun said as he looked at his friend.

"Then that's where we hide the cameras. If we get them small enough and make sure they can't be seen anytime of the day then he'll never know. All we have to do after that is wait and get video of him hitting Kihyun. I know that sounds bad but it's the only way to catch him." Wonho said.

"Are you going to be okay getting hit for video evidence Kihyun?" Jooheon asked.

"I'm willing to do anything if it means I can get away from him. I just want to be out of the relationship and get on with my life." Kihyun said as he looked seriously at his friend.

"Then we'll go out tomorrow to get the cameras and we'll set them up." Shownu said.

"I'm going to run and errand while you guys are getting them." Kihyun said.

"What errand?" Hyungwon asked.

"I'm going to change my hair color. I don't want to look at my hair and be reminded of what happened. I'll change the color until I can get over what Jiseok did to me." Kihyun said.
