Changkyun sat nervously in the waiting room with his head in his hands and legs shaking. His mind was going crazy with thoughts of Kihyun dying. He started to get really mad and he stood up suddenly and walked out of the hospital. He paced outside and ended up walking up to the wall before punching it. He repeatedly punched it before he felt someone grab his arm before he could punch it again. He turned around to see who stopped him and saw Jooheon looking at him sadly.
"Don't do this to yourself." Jooheon said letting go of Changkyun's arm.
"What do you mean?" Changkyun said as he turned to face Jooheon.
"Kihyun wouldn't want you to hurt yourself like this over something he chose to do." Jooheon said as he walked over and leaned against the wall.
"I could have done something to protect him. If I did he wouldn't have gotten stabbed and he wouldn't be in surgery right now." Changkyun said as he started to break down.
"He chose to protect you so you shouldn't beat yourself up for something you can't control. If he didn't try and protect you he would be in position going crazy because you would be in surgery. He would probably break down and wouldn't calm down until he knew you were safe." Jooheon said as he pat Changkyun's shoulder and walked towards the door.
Changkyun just stood in the same spot thinking about what Jooheon said and watched him walk back into the hospital. He stood outside for a little bit before deciding that Jooheon was right and walked back inside. He walked to the waiting room and sat down next to the others and awaited for news on Kihyun.
"What happened to your hand?" Minhyuk asked looking at Changkyun's cut up knuckles.
"He decided to go outside and punch a wall." Jooheon said with a smirk on his face.
"Now why would you go and do that when you know what would happen to your hand? You know Kihyun isn't going to be happy that you did that right?" Minhyuk asked as he nudged Hyungwon.
"I know." Changkyun said as he watched Hyungwon walk over and kneel in front of him.
He flinched a little when Hyungwon pressed by one of the cuts. He then watched Hyungwon get up and walk over to one of the nurses stations. Hyungwon then came back over with stuff to clean the wounds, gauze, and bandages.
"All of you are terrible when it comes to injuring yourselves. I swear I need to bubble wrap all of you." Hyungwon said as he sat down in front of Changkyun and started to clean his wounds.
"We are not that bad." Wonho said defending himself.
"Oh really?" Hyungwon asked with a questioning look pointed at Wonho.
"Yeah." Wonho said with a confident smile.
"Who was the one that tripped over himself and ended up scraping up almost every limb?" Hyungwon asked.
"Me." Wonho said defeated.
Changkyun and Jooheon laughed as they watched Wonho sit back with a pout on his face. Changkyun only stopped when Hyungwon started to clean his wounds again.
"I wouldn't laugh if I were you two. I can think of multiple times you two have injured yourselves doing stupid things." Hyungwon said with a smile on his face as he grabbed the gauze.
Jooheon sat back and had a faint blush on his face as he mumbled something about the ideas not being that stupid.
"Minhyuk can you help me for a minute?" Hyungwon asked as he turned his head to his friend.
"Yeah. What do you need?" Minhyuk asked as he sat down next to Hyungwon.
"I need you to hold this gauze here while I start to wrap his hand. I don't want it to shift and have the bandages stick to the cuts." Hyungwon said as he moved his hands so Minhyuk could hold the gauze.
~An Hour Later~
All of the boys were sitting around when Changkyun watched a doctor walk in. He got up and walked over to him as quickly as he could.
"Are you here for Yoo Kihyun?" The doctor asked when Changkyun reached him.
"Yes." Changkyun said.
"Well he's out of surgery now and doing just fine. I can take you to go see him if you would like. He should be waking up soon." The doctor said with a smile.
"Please take me to see him." Changkyun said as his friends came up behind him.
"Right this way then." The doctor said as he started to lead all of them down the hallway.
They stopped in front of a door and the doctor said that they could go in but that they should know that he isn't awake and won't wake up for at least an hour. He also told them that he would be back in a half hour to check on him. Once he left Changkyun wasted no time in walking through the door. When he walked in he saw Kihyun laying in a bed with and IV in his arm. He slowly walked over and grabbed his hand before sitting in the chair that was by the bed. Everyone else slowly walked in before finding a place to sit and wait for Kihyun to wake up. None of them wanted him to wake up alone so if any of them had to leave for any reason they made sure at least one person was in the room. All of them had one question on their mind:
When will Kihyun wake up?
