"When are we going to met this boy?" My Dad asks at our breakfast this morning on a Saturday. Today I was going to mostly study and make sure to get a jump start on my homework.

My mom smiles at me as she places some waffles on the table for us to all share. I told her lasts night that Dallas and I got over our petty fights. Of course she was happy.

Fiddling with my fork, I go to grab some waffles. "I don't know, when are you guys free?
Maybe we could have dinner here?" Mom shoots up with excitement and leans towards me form across the table. "How about tomorrow night? I could make some lovely pot roast with mashed potatoes! Does he like that?"

Looking at Mom, the wheels were turning in her head. She was thinking of all the ways to go all out and impress my boyfriend, it's was she did for Russel. Oh boy, that was a dinner I would never forget.

"Sounds good, but don't fret Mom. Dallas isn't picky and will eat mostly anything." Dad gives her an amused look, and so do I. We loved when Mom got passionate about something.

She didn't work a lot since she was just a substitute teacher, she spent most of her time at home or volunteering. But man, did she love to cook meals for other people. Dad is always saying she could have been a five-star chef if she wanted too.

Finishing up my food, I take my plate to the sink. "Well I better go get some work done, and later let Dallas know about tomorrow."

"So I'm finally meeting the parents?" Dallas asks as we sit together on the Curtis' couch, watching tv. The whole gang was over and we were just hanging around.

All the boys were hooting and hollering about Dallas having dinner with my parents. These guys sometimes are just a little too rowdy for me, only sometimes.

Sighing I look up at him from the tv, "Yes, and please be on your best behavior. No fowl mouth, or-"

Dallas cuts me off before I could keep telling him his do's and don'ts for the night. "Doll, I'll be fine. I might be new to dating, but I know how to act around parents." Looking at him with raised eyebrows, I look over at the other boys.

They are giving him the same expression as me, which makes him confused. His eyebrows scrunch together, "What?! I do, okay? Jeez give a guy a break!"

A breakout of laughs come out from all of us and Dallas pouts, sinking deeper into the couch. Trying to cheer him up, I kiss his cheek. Of course it works.

He goes and starts to kiss me deeply on the lips. Two-bit whistled, Johnny was probably blushing, Steve and Soda were nudging each other grinning like fools, and Pony was rolling his eyes. Darry was asleep in his room currently so he wasn't a whiteness.

Backing away he narrows his eyes at me, "Why'd you pull away?"

"Because your creepy friends were watching and killing the mood."

Dallas shoots a nasty look to the gang, and turns to look at me. Taking my hand in his, he shoots up heading for the door, taking me with him.

"Bye losers, I'm going to go make out with my girlfriend!" I was blushing, but it was even more embarrassing hearing what they yelled.

I need better friends. Of course Dallas takes of to a small river that has become just a place for us to hang out at. "I can't believe you told them that." I groan while lightly slapping his chest.

He just shrugs and pulls me down to sit next to him. "Oh who cares, now just kiss me."
