Brielle

It was a quiet walk to school this morning. I didn't really seem to since I was a little more on the tired side. Yesterday I spent my Sunday with my parents. They took me out to drive around town then go to a fancy restaurant.

Of course they asked about Dallas, which I told them we were official. My mom squealed with excitement and my Dad was kinda passive aggressiveness about it, but when isn't he.

I don't really know why Dallas wasn't talking though. Maybe he was just really tired like I was.

Finally arriving at school, I turn and give Dallas a quick peck on the lips. He pulls me closer and deepens the kiss, obviously wanting more. I didn't really want passing students to see us sucking face though, so I pull back.

Confusing laces through his face, "What's that for?" Sighing, I fix my hair, "I just don't want to make out in front of people right now. Besides I'll be late, I'll see you later."

Giving him a wave goodbye, I internally groan to myself. By his face, he wasn't happy at all. Not like I wanted to leave him like that, but I did have an education to get too. My whole life doesn't revolve around him.

My mood lifts when I see Hamilton who brought me one of his Dad's homemade muffins. "This is why we are friends." I say and he hugs me close as we walk to our first class.

"Dude there's a party tomorrow night at Curly's place! We need to go!" Steve shouts while entering the Curtis house. Ponyboy and I were just getting ahead on some work and keeping Johnny company. I guess his Dad hit him again this morning, poor kid.

Soda laughs agreeing with Steve as he plops done on the couch. Two-bit follows heading into the kitchen to grab a beer, shocker.

While they discuss the party, Dallas soon comes into the house and sits down by me. I kiss him on the lips before going back to my work. "Hey Dally, you going to Curly's?" Soda asks while munching on some chips.

"Of course, he's the only soc who through a good parties." They all agreeing and then go back to doing whatever they wanted. Closing my math book, I rub my eyes. I need to go home and get some sleep.

Gathering everything, I wave goodbye to the gang. "I've got to head out, but I'll see you guys later." Dallas jumps up and follows we outside. "You don't have to walk me home Dal, I'll be fine."

He shakes his head, "I just wanted Ronnie if your going to the party?" As we leave the Curtis neighborhood, I look up to see what the sunset would like. Sunsets are so beautiful.

"I don't think so. My parents wouldn't allow me, and it's not what I want to go. Not my scene."

"Why not? Come on you should come and don't be so boring. Be fun for once." I stop in my tracks and shoot a glare over at Dallas. I knew he had a mouth on him, but he never spoke that way to me.

I wouldn't ever let him speak to me like that.

Crossing my arms over my chest, I stand my ground, "Who the hell do you think you are? If I don't want to go, I don't have to. Don't be an ass!" He had the audacity to laugh at me in this moment. Not helping your case bub.

"I'm Dallas Winston, I do what I want."

Cocking an eyebrow at him, I learned this form Two, I hold back a laugh from his stupid statement. "Sure you are. How about you go do yourself if you'd like. Don't even talk to me, and don't show up tomorrow."

With that I start to walk off, and see a very familiar car approaching me. Dallas runs up to me, but I shake my head at him. Then I look over at he rolled down window.

There was Russel looking back at me, "Hey Russ, can you please give me a ride home?" Pooping open the door for me I smile at him. Giving a glare to Dallas, I shoot out a goodbye. "Have a goodnight greaser."

With that I get in the car and drive off with Russel. He's trying, but failing in holding back his laughter. "I don't know when you grew the balls to do that, but damn!" Laughing along with him, I still felt sad inside.

I thought Dallas would be different. Guessed wrong again.
