Carmen's POV

I woke up the next morning with tear tracks on my face and shaking. I got up, dressed, and washed my face. I went downstairs and grabbed a small stack of toast. I checked the time on the clock in the kitchen. 5:43 a.m. I finished my breakfast and walked out of the pack house. I went and got Peaches and I took off, beginning the 3 hour ride to Star Moon lands.

Peaches started to get tired after the 2nd hour. We stopped at a nearby stream and took a drink. I picked some apples off an apple tree and that fed us both. I checked my watch. 7:43 a.m. exactly. Everyone would start to wake up. I sighed and got back on my horse.

I arrived at the lands. I knew they all would sleep late. I tied Peaches to a tree just outside of boundaries. I his my scent and snuck across. I tiptoed towards the pack house. It was pretty large, considering everyone lived there. I quietly peeked around the corner and saw guards. I swore silently. I would have one hell of a time getting past them.

I smiled like an idiot. Of course! Why hadn't I thought of it before! It would work, for sure. I flexed my fingers, turned the corner and shot a stream of blue fire in their direction. It hit both and they ran into the woods, trying to put it out.

Jordan's POV

I hadn't fallen asleep. I couldn't. The Alpha, who's name was Curtis, had locked me in here. I couldn't even dream of falling asleep with his nauseating scent of dog shit and sweat. I climbed out and wandered over to the door. I leaned against it, knowing there was a guard just outside the door.

"Hey...uh, can I go to the bathroom? I have to pee." I said. This room had no connecting bathroom. "No, you can't leave. I was ordered by the Alpha not to let you leave, Car- Wait, you don't smell like Carmen. You smell similar to her, but you aren't, are you?" the guard replied. I smiled. Finally! Another human in this chimp hole!

"No, I'm not Carmen. Thank the Moon Goddess you have a brain!" I said happily. I asked again to be let out and was denied. I shrugged and went back to the bed. "And you can explain to the Alpha why he needs to change his sheets!!" I called. I smiled like a small child and went.

"Why the fuck does my bed smell like piss?" he asked when he decided to show up. I waited for him to connect the dots. He did alarmingly fast. I cackled. He slapped me across the face. I growled and drew my claw across his left arm. "I will say it one last time. I'm not Carmen!" I shouted in his face. I spit on him and his face contorted with anger.

"The hell you aren't!! I am. Jordy, get away from his smelly ass." Said a female voice from the doorway. I turned and saw the only person I wanted to see. My sister.

Carmen's POV

Jordan ran towards me. "You didn't think I would leave you here?" I asked. Jordan shook her head no. We stood shoulder to shoulder. Curtis's mouth dropped open. "What? Where's my mate?" he asked. I scoffed. "I don't know where Josie is." I answered. I felt a spark grow on my finger.

"Nonsense. Carmen is here." He answered. I shot a thin rope of fire at him. "The hell she is. And she's pissed as fuck." I answered. I nodded to Jordan and we both turned and ran. "I peed in his bed!" Jordan told me, barely able to control herself. I snorted with laughter and kept running. "Nice one." I replied.

"Stop them! Stop my mate!" Curtis yelled. I smiled. Idiots. They should know they can't control the Dodge twins. I found Peaches right where I left her. Another figure was there. Damon smiled at me. "You think I'm letting you do this by yourself? No way!" he said. I laughed and I turned to see how many were following us. The entire posse of warriors was watching.

I sent out a wave of fire so fast it couldn't be seen. They all yelled and swatted at their pants. Damon had borrowed a horse and mounted it. I mounted Peaches and Jordan came on behind me. I flicked the reins and we were gone.

"Whoo!" I yelled cheerfully. With both horses going at a gallop, we could be back at the pack house in an hour. I glanced at the sky. I could see the moon in the blue. I waved at it quickly and kept going.

Yeah! I'm glad this chapter turned out this way. And for those of you non-riders, there are different speed to ride.

Walk--------Trot-------------Canter----------------Gallop

A trot is faster than walking, a canter is faster than a trot and a gallop is faster than a canter.
