Saki's P.O.V

I was roused from unconsciousness after All Might defeated the sludge villain with only a single punch. His punch was said to be so powerful that it changed the weather right away, according to what I heard. I was shocked and confused when I saw Izuku in the scene since I was wholly aware that he wasn't there when Bakugou and I fought the villain. Then I heard from some witnesses that he charged at the villain recklessly and tried to claw both of us out of the monster's body.

Yes, he may be reckless, but he is a brave young boy with no quirk and still doesn't hesitate to help his friends and those who are in danger. I respected that, and that's why I decided to not chide him for that.

Bakugou and I got multiple praises from reporters, witnesses, and Pro Heroes for our quirks and bravery. I gave no response to them. In my opinion, All Might and Izuku were the real heroes here. I found it displeasing that Izuku got scolded by Pro Heroes when in actuality he did a heroic act just now.

Strangely enough, Bakugou said nothing and turned a deaf ear to all of them. I thought he would laugh out loud and declare to the cameras that he would surpass All Might as usual but instead, he was very silent, and I caught him glancing at Izuku a few times with a glower.

The ash blond boy looked like he was in a bad mood, so I decided not to approach him. After conversing with Izuku, I got a call from my mother who demanded me to go home as soon as possible. I could tell she was angry and concerned about me. I bet the news about this sludge villain is now spreading like wildfire.

I was walking down the neighborhood when I ran into Bakugou. He was still sporting that irritated mien, but I know that was the usual face he wore every day so I didn't mind. I discerned a few scratches here and there on his features; a clear evidence that he indeed fought the sludge villain.

"Tch," he growled, "Stop staring. It's annoying."

I gave no response as he resumed walking in my direction. He was about to walk past me when he halted in his tracks and said, "And one more thing. Don't even think that I owe you anything because of what happened. I could defeat that villain by myself. I don't need your help."

I emitted a sigh, "I bet you're going to tell that to Izu-chan when you meet him tomorrow."

But then I realized where we were. Yes, we lived in the same neighborhood but that doesn't mean our houses were right next to one another or just across the street. Our neighborhood was pretty huge. My house was somewhere in the north of where I was currently facing and Izuku's apartment was a little far from mine. On the other hand, Bakugou's house was nearby but was located somewhere behind me. Bakugou looked like he just walked away from the path to Izuku's apartment. Did he already confront Izu-chan?

I muttered, "Or maybe you already told him that just a few moments ago."

Bakugou sent me a black look and snarled, "Why does it matter to you? Now get out of my way. Just looking at you pisses me off."

He then proceeded onward, not forgetting to bump my shoulder with his roughly as he moved past me. I merely sent him an angry puppy look before I averted my gaze. To be honest, his last sentence somehow wounded me. Maybe it's because I didn't expect him to find me that annoying. Not to mention we just hung out for a while after school and he even bought me two ice creams. I bet all of that meant nothing to him.

I sighed in despair before I moved towards my destination.

My parents were so worried about me that they persuaded me to skip school for two days to make sure I was positively in good health. On the outside, I was bewildered and asked them 'why' a lot of times, but on the inside, I was overjoyed. Skip school for two days? Heck yes!
