Saki's P.O.V
"All right, everyone! Let's have fun competing in the recreational games!" Present Mic's voice reverberated throughout the stadium, "When that's over, the sixteen from the four teams that made it to the final round will duke it out tournament style, one-on-one!"
This is it – the last round where you have to fight the other competitor in a one-on-one match. I'd watched U.A. sports festivals several times before and found them all to be incredibly entertaining. But I wouldn't expect to find myself standing and appearing on TV like those people on television. Just imagine that there was a little kid, aspiring to be a Pro Hero, watching me in their home.
Will they find my quirk interesting?
Will they find my quirk to be boring for an aspiring hero?
Of course, everyone has their own opinions. I had read a lot of forums and heated comments on VouTube. Some people would state their opinion in the comment section and there would be several individuals interjecting and saying that their opinions are somewhat wrong, and thus an argument between those persons erupted. I bet that will happen to me in the comment section of the videos that display my quirk. A group of people will remark about my quirks being too unexciting and then another group of people will join and try to defend me.
But what if there is no one to defend my honor?
Just then, I recalled several voices that I heard a long time ago:
"Terada, you think you can be a Pro Hero with that lame quirk? No offense, but no one would recruit you because of that!"
I clenched my fist as my face contorted into a grimace. I forgot about them – my former classmates in kindergarten, elementary school and junior high. Now that I mention it, they must be watching this sports festival on TV right now, right? I wonder what they are thinking about me reaching this far. Those bullies that often told me that my quirk was unfit for battle, are you all watching this right now? Do you all recognize me?
"Terada-san, are you alright?" Momo's voice rolled into my mind, bringing me back to reality.
I loosened up my expression and regarded her with a weak smile, "I'm fine. Why do you ask?"
Momo's eyes glinted with concern as she apprised me, "Well... you have a painful look on your face. It's as if you are reminiscing about a bad memory. Do you need a rest?"
I looked away, halfheartedly attempting to hide my face from the perceptive girl, "Sorry, it's nothing. But thank you for asking."
"Now," the famous R-Rated Hero, Midnight, spoke up as she showed us a yellow box with 'Lots' word written in the front, "let's draw lots to determine the bracket. Once the bracket is determined, we'll have the recreational games and then start! The sixteen finalists can choose whether or not they want to participate in the recreation. I'm sure some of you want to rest or save your strength. Now, from the first place team-"
Midnight was about to make her way towards Todoroki, Iida, Kaminari, and I when Ojiro Mashirao raised his arm up out of the blue and stated, "Um...! Excuse me. I'm withdrawing."
A wave of loud gasp filled the area as every pair of eyes was fired at Ojiro who was standing in front of me and the rest of my female classmates who were still clothed in the cheerleading costumes. Izuku whirled around and questioned the boy who just surrendered, "Ojiro, why?"
Iida joined, "This is a rare chance for pros to see you!"
Ojiro confessed with a visible frown on his face, "I barely remember anything from the cavalry battle until almost the end. I think it was that guy's quirk."
