Saki's P.O.V
"Now that everyone's decided on their hero names, we'll go back to talking about the internships," said my homeroom teacher called Aizawa. The R-Rated Hero, known as Midnight, who stood next to him flexed her arms with a radiant smile while Eraserhead resumed, "They will last for a week. As for where you'll have them, those who had offers from pros will be given your own lists, so you can choose from those yourself. Those who didn't have offers will choose from among forty agencies around the country that will be accepting our interns. They all work in different places and have different specialties."
Midnight briefly elucidated, "For example, Thirteen would be focused on rescues from accidents and disasters more than fighting villains."
"Think carefully before you choose," told Aizawa to us.
"Yes, sir!"
And with that said, we were all given a long list of various hero agencies that wished to recruit us, while those who couldn't get an offer were given another different list of numerous agencies that they must choose on their own. Just when all of us started to immerse ourselves in scanning the names of these organizations, Aizawa's voice cut through the din, "Turn in your choices before the weekend."
"We've only got two days?!" exclaimed Sero in shock.
"Make your decision efficiently. Dismissed," that's all Aizawa drawled before he and Midnight exited the classroom, leaving us to our deep thoughts.
When lunchtime arrived, nearly all of us, including me, fished out the list of the hero companies and once again skimmed our eyes through each one of them. Of course, most of my classmates began to confabulate about their possible decisions on which agency they would go while I stayed in my seat and put all of my concentration in scanning the long list of the organizations that showed an interest on me.
"Terada, have you decided what pro agency you're going to yet?" Momo's voice interrupted my train of thought, not that I got upset about it. I looked over my shoulder to see the vice president of my class and Jirou sauntering towards my desk from the back of the room.
Once they stood beside me, I replied with an uncertain smile, "I'm not sure yet. I still haven't made up my mind on what kind of Pro Hero I should go to."
"What kind of Pro Hero?" Jirou repeated my words in bewilderment with one eyebrow raised.
"She means that she isn't sure on which type of Pro Hero she should go for. If she decides on going for the rescue-type pro, then she would choose Thirteen who focuses hard on saving people from disasters. If she wants a hero that can teach her a lot of offensive techniques, she would go for a pro that has a similar quirk as hers and has many experiences in battle. Am I right, Terada?" clarified Momo who beamed at me confidently.
I sweatdropped at her quick perceptiveness, "Yes, that's right."
"Hmm..." Jirou leaned in closer to take a good look at my list, "...if you still can't make a decision in time, then why don't you just choose the highest-ranking Pro Hero in that list? I bet any Pro Hero who has an amazing reputation has enormous experiences in both battle and rescue mission. And also, these people who express their interest in Terada must be quite confident in her paper quirk and know how to deal with it, right? Don't worry too much about it, Terada."
Hearing Jirou say that to me made my anxiousness gradually abate. She's right. I still haven't done a quick research about who is the highest-ranking Pro Hero on my list.
"Anyway, Terada, do you want to go to the cafeteria with us?" inquired Momo.
I once again snapped out of my trance and hurriedly dug through my bag to get my hand on a particular item. I ended up taking out my bento box and revealed it to my dear friends. My lips stretched widely as I answered, "No, thanks. You two can go ahead without me. My mom already made a home-packed meal for me."
