You're My Star (Black Star X Maka)

Memories

(A/N: This chappie will kinda be in a kid Maka POV, so there won't be any thoughts like: "That's how I was like as a kid." Nope. nothing like that. Enjoy the chappie.)

"Mama! Papa!" I cried out. Mama and Papa were taking me out for a walk around Death City so I cuold get used to it, but now they lost me in the forests behind that big school. 

I cried and looked at my scraped knee. This place shouldn't be that big, right? Right? I heard something rustling in the bushes nearby and crouched down, frightened. A small animal came out of the bush and I sighed.

Oh no.... The funny-looking sun is going down and I still haven't found Mama and Papa.... I don't want to be out here alone at nighttime! There are spooky soundss or maybe ghosts! And the moon is really scary-looking too! 

I heard footsteps, but only one pair. It can't be Mama or Papa because I don't think they'd leave each other's sides at night... I tried to stand and run, but my knee hurt a lot.

The steps were close and I closed my eyes tight. "Hey, what're you doing here all by yourself? It's almost night, you know..." I looked up to see a boy with funny blue hair that was all spikey and I felt a little more relieved. 

I tried to get up again, but fell. He crouched down next to me and had a bit of a worried expression on his face. "What's the matter?" I pointed at my knee and he looked at it for a second before getting a gray cloth from his pocket. He tied it around my wound and I sighed lightly. "Do you know how to get to the big school? Or at least, out of the forest?" I asked.

He nodded and grinned, "Yeah! I can take you back to the academy!" He carried me on his back and knowing that he couldn't see my face, I smiled. I just met the guy, but he's really nice.... I saw a star mark... No, tattoo, on his shoulder and got curious.

After a short walk, he stopped in front of the big school, or how he says.... academy. I smiled as he put me down and I was able to stand on my own. I was about to say something to him, but I got caught off by familiar voices.

"Maka!" I turned around and saw Mama and Papa running towards me. Before I could do or say anything, they both hugged me tightly. "Oh, sweetie, we were so worried. As soon as we realized you were gone, Spirit and I went ahead to get help from Lord Death. Are you okay?" I nodded and glanced backwards.

He's gone.... 

Papa carried me on his shoulders and I looked around. I wonder if I'll see that guy again...? After Mama and Papa brought mehome, they just noticed the gray cloth on my knee. Mama took it off and looked at my wound. "You're hurt... Where did this cloth come from?" "A boy... He's the one who helped me out of the forest..." Papa crouched next to me, "What's his name?"

Come to think of it, he didn't tell me his name. I shrugged and Mama thought for a second, "So what does he look like?" That one was easy! "Star tattoo and spikey blue hair!" They both flinched and Mama spoke with Papa. "The star clan member that Sid took in?"

Papa nodded and looked back at me, handing me back the cloth. "You return this to him tomorrow and thank him, okay, Maka? We'll go to the academy for work. I'm sure you'll find him there." I nodded and went to sleep. I'll see him again after all!

TIME SKIP BROUGHT BY VERY YOUNG LOVE (Get it?)

I was walking all around the "academy" to look for the blue haired guy with Mama and Papa's permission. It took a really, really long time since the place was huge! I sat on the stairs outside and sighed. I'll never be able to find him now....

"Oh, hey! It's you again! A familair voice called. I smiled and turned around, "Hi!" "What're you doing here?" He asked curiously. I stood up and put my hands behind my back, "My Mama and Papa work here."

He grinned at me and held out his hand, "Black Star." I tilted my head in confusion. "Huh?" "My name's Black Star! What's your's?" I smiled again and shook his hand gently, "Maka Albarn!" I walked towards the entrance of the academy and glanced back at him, "Follow me!" I said cheerfully. He nodded and ran up beside me.

I found Mama and Papa walking around and I clung onto Mama's leg. "Mama! Papa! I found Black Star!" Papa smiled, "So that's your name, little boy?" He brought his chest up proudly and smiled, "Yup!" Mama and Papa laughed and set me down.

"Your Papa and I won't be done with work until later, so why don't you explore Death City with your new friend?" Black Star grinned widely and so did I. "Okay!" We went all around Death City and saw a colorful shop. He brought me inside and there was a lot of cool stuff there.

Black Star and I hung out more then Mama and Papa's friend, Sid, came and brought Black Star away for the day. After that, we saw each other every day and hung out. When we were old enough, we both joined the academy. 

I was disappointed because we were both meisters and couldn't be partners, but Lord Death said we can be in the same class and team. He found a girl named Tsubaki as a partner and I met this "Soul" guy. They were both nice in a way.

Older Maka P. O. V.

After a few years in the academy, we met a lot of new friends. But Black Star and I weren't as close as we used to be. Somehow, he got into some "god-surpassing" stuff and Papa kept buying me books which I ended up reading when I was bored.

Our personalities were too far apart for us to be best friends for any longer. 

But Black Star.... He'll always be my star, no matter what. I just wish things could go back to the way they were before...
