I've been thinking a lot about the partnering thingy. Starting tomorrow, I'll be teaming up and working with Black Star. Not much with Soul. Geez! Can things get any worse? But on the bright side, Black Star is the best fighter in our resonance team. And if rumors are right, he's the fastest meister too. But still... Guh. I'm thinking about it too much. I think I'll just get some sleep... I'll let everyone else deal with this.

Time Skips Brought By Nyan Cat

"Good morning, Kid!" I greeted. "Who are you, Liz and Patty partnered with?" He smiled back at me. "Kim and Jaqueline." We were walking to class together. Soul went on ahead with Black Star and Liz and Patty were already there. I'm just going with Kid because I don't want to be left alone. Who knows what'll happen?

Kid's always been a really good friend to me. He always gives me good advice and he's able to handle my temper. I'm glad to have him as a friend. The only weird thing about him is how he always gets some OCD freak outs. 

"Maka? Maka!" "H-Huh? What?" I snapped out of my thoughts and Kid stopped walking, crossing his arms. "Alright Maka. Tell me what's wrong. You're not yourself lately and you keep on spacing out. Is there something bothering you?" I waved my hand in front of my face and chuckled a bit, "Oh, it's nothing! You guys should really stop worrying about me! I'm fine, really!" 

His face straightened. "Are you?" My hand stopped in it's tracks and my smile faded. I sighed, knowing that it's pretty hard to keep your feelings locked away from Kid. He can break through anyone's shell! Even mine..!

"I'll tell you... If you promise not to laugh at me..." He smiled reassuringly at me, "Well, that would be rude, wouldn't it?" I couldn't help but smile a bit.  I knew I could trust Kid.... I thought to myself.

I told him about everything that's been going on. All this Black Star stuff and whatever and I saw him smirk a bit. "Maka, it's too obvious. You're in love." I felt my face heat up, "Ehh?!?! B-B-But that can't be! Black Star?!" "You're blushing." I buried my face in my hands and Kid pat me on the back. "Don't worry, Maka. It'll all be okay." 

I glanced up a Kid and saw him smiling at me. "This is stupid... I can't be in love with Black Star." He sighed and continued walking. "Well, you are. Too bad." "You're not helping, Kid!" He glanced back at me, "Oh. So you want me to help? Sure. I'll help you hook up with Black Star."

"Th-That's not what I meant! H-Hey! Kid, come back!!"

TIME SKIP BROUGHT BY KILLER GUMMY BEARS

 "Yo. Maka." I turned around to find my partner and I smiled, "Hey, Soul. What's up?" He pointed his thumb over his shoulder, "We're missing a member for some basketball. You in?" I shrugged and walked over to the basketball court with him following me. "Sure thing. Am I already on a team?" 

He gave me a toothy grin. "Yeah. You're in Kid's team. And we're playing punishment." I gulped, "A-Again? What's the punishment and who's the team leaders..?" "The team leaders are Kid and Black Star. If Kid loses, then we get to make his house asymmetrical. And if Black Star loses-" "Then he has to go on a date with you, Maka. You're welcome." 

I looked ahead to see Kid smirking. "Kid, you baka (T/N: idiot) !! That's a terrible punishment!!" "Well everyone already agreed to it, so don't lose. Team Kid is me, you and Tsubaki. Black Star has Patty and Soul." 

We went to the basketball court and I started to sweat nervously. I looked at Black Star and noticed him staring at me. I looked away quickly, pretending I didn't see him. Maybe Kid was right... about me liking Black Star...

"Game on!" Patty yelled.
