Kilgrave (2) ~request~

Wires. There was always so many wires. They always connect wires to me. Wires to my head, my chest, my arms. The wires connected to big monitors.
This was my life. A life of wire. A life of people monitoring my brain waves and my heart rate while I moved thing.
Today I was to move a bolder with just a look. They set up all the monitors and stuck the wires on to me. They walked out into the glass wall to watch. Usually they tell me when. But today, There was nothing.
" hello?" I asked. I looked around.
The door opened. A man dressed in a purple suit walked in. His hair was nicely done. His eyes told of sorrow with one glance. " who are you?" He didn't answer. " are you one of the doctors?"
He stepped closer.
" please don't hurt me." I flinched.
" I'm not going to hurt you." His voice was soft. He then carefully pulled all the wires off of me. " why are they doing this to you?" He seemed to be choosing his words carefully. He crunched down to my level.
" I'm 'unique'." I stated.
" how so?" He asked.
" I have powers."
" show me." He backed away.
I looked around for something small to move, something that wouldn't drain my energy.
I saw the tie around his next. I concentrated and moved it side to side loosing it. Once it was untied it floated in the air.
He grabbed it from the air. " you're very gifted indeed." He tied his tie again. " how old are you?" He asked.
" what?" I asked.
There was sorrow in his eyes. " you looked like you're about 16 give or take." He looked to the door. " do you want to get out of here?"
" very much so." I smiled.
" ever seen the outside world?" He asked.
" a little." I answered.
" well come on." He smiled he held out his hand.
I walked with him. I turned around to see the bodies of all the doctors. My heart started to race. Things started to rattle on the walls.
The man looked at me. " calm down. It's okay. Your safe." His words soothed me but there was still a part of me that feared the man in purple.
He lead me to a car. I sat in the back seat with him. " I'm Kilgrave." He told me.
" I'm (Y/N)."
He smiled. He then turned to the driver. " drop us off at home. Once you do that go..." he whispered the rest. He driver wasn't phased.
" You- you have powers?" I asked.
" yes." He said simply.
" what can you do?" I asked.
" we'll have time to discuss that later. For now let's just get you home, wash you up." He told me.
I looked down at what I was wearing. I was suddenly very self conscious.
He just smiled. " don't worry we'll get that all situated."

We arrived at what I assumed to be his home. As we walked in we were welcomed by a lot of people. I closed in on myself. Trying to make myself smaller.
" Annie, take (Y/N) upstairs to get washed up." He demanded.
A middle aged woman stepped forward she took my hand and lead me upstairs in to a bathroom. I looked out the window waiting for her to warm the water. I seen our driver in the middle of the road. A car came fast and ran over him. I turned around. Annie didn't seem the be paying any attention to me, so I bolted out the door. Things started to fly around me. Things running into the walls and breaking. I was headed straight to the front door. " Stop." I stopped. It finally clicked. The purple man could control people. My heart started to race.
" turn around." I turned.
Tears ran down my face.
" why are you crying?" Sorrow filled his eyes again. " did Annie do something?" He got angry.
" No Annie is great, our driver..." I trailed off. " you killed him."
" I didn't kill anyone." He told me.
" But?"
" I simply just suggested it." He told me. He wiped a tear from my face.
" I want to leave." I whispered.
" no you can't, you and I are the same, there are people who will do bad things to you. Worst then what the doctors did." He grabbed my shoulders. " please stay. I don't want to force you, what will it take?"
" will you ever hurt me?" I asked.
" never." He told me.
" change." I looked into his eyes. " change. Stop 'suggesting' things. I'll stay with you if you change."
" women." He smiled. " always wanting to change you. I'll do it."
I believe him. I hugged him. He hugged me.
" now go back upstairs and get ready for dinner. After dinner we can go shopping." He smiled brightly at me.
I smiled back at him and walked back upstairs.
