"That's a wrap! Good job everyone. We are all meeting a Docs in about an hour." The director of Doctor who yelled over the last scene I was to do on my favorite project.
"Hey are you okay?" David asked me as he released me from the hold he had me in for the last shot. He always asked me if I was okay when we got done after doing a difficult scene.
"Yeah, I am. I can't believe it's over. Are you good?" I asked as I got up off the floor.
David offered his hand to help me up off the floor of the TARDIS set. " thank you." I brushed off my clothes. " will you be joining us at the bar?"
"Well of course, it's your last day. I wouldn't miss it for the world." His normal Scottish accent resonating around the set.
"Miss (Y/L/N), we are ready for you in clothing when you're ready to change." My dresser said from behind the once rolling cameras.
" I better go. This outfit isn't exactly comfortable." I laughed. " I'll met you in there?"
" Of course." David said has I walked away.
My dresser helped strip me of my clothes and helped me into my regular black skinny jeans and oversized off the shoulder cream sweater. Underneath was a simple black bralette. I had my makeup artist take the blood and bruises off and put on something simple, a natural look with creamy brown eyeshadow. To pop it all off, she added a winged eyeliner. I hugged her and my dresser. " hopefully I will have the pleasure of working with you guys again." I grabbed my purse and leather jacket and headed to the bar.
I opened the bar door to see most of the crew and cast members already there. I walked to the bar to order a hot cocoa with peppermint schnapps. I greeted some people and thanked them for there love a support before sitting in a corner with my drink.
The bell of the bar door rung but I paid no attention to it. I was to busy inside my own head. This was my dream job and it was done. I didn't know what was going to happen next.
" mind if I join you?" A familiar Scottish voice asked.
" no not at all." I looked up to David's face.
He sat down a immediately said "what's wrong?".
" what makes you think that's something is wrong?" I asked taking a sip of my drink.
" you don't have the same light in your eyes anymore." David told me.
" fair enough. I'm just thinking about the future." I confessed.
" and that worries you?" He questioned.
" Being on Doctor Who was my dream job. Now that's it's over I feel like everything is going to be insignificant." I sighed.
David only nodded.
There was a silence
"It's just.." I started then sighed.
"What?" David asked. He seemed genuinely concerned.
" I didn't come from a family of actors like most of you did. I didn't grow up in the entertainment industry. I grew up with my mother and my father. When I was 16 my mother divorced my father. I stayed with my mother because my father didn't have a steady job or house. By 17 my mother found my stepdad. By 18, my wonderful stepfather threw my out. He said and I quote ' I married your mother. Not this family. And certainly not you.' So I gathered up all my money I got from working at a local restaurant and caught the first flight to Cardiff. And here we are 5 years later. Working with you and everyone was something out of a dream. I never expected to get this job. But it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. To see it all end is nerve wracking. I simply don't know what to do next. Do I go back to my home town? Do I continue to go with acting?" I sighed. " I'm sorry, I don't know why I told you all of this. You didn't ask for my sad life story. I think it's best if Id go. I wouldn't want to ruin your vibe."
