My phone vibrated me awake. I picked it up from my nightstand.
' David Tennant is FaceTiming' peered on the bright screen. I picked up.
" hello?" My voice was very horse and rough with sleeping.
" hey... I'm sorry. Did I wake you?" He asked. His face was full of regret.
" No, no it's okay." His voice made me smiled instantly. " what are you doing?"
" I just got done filming for the day." He took off his glasses to rub his face. He put them back on. " this time change is killing me."
" you'll get used to it. You always do. How is everything going with filming?" I asked turning on my lamp. I seen myself in the little box that shows you what the person your FaceTiming with see. I instantly regretted it.
" you look beautiful." He could tell I was self conscious about how I looked.
" thank you." I smiled. " you don't look to bad yourself."
He laughed. " thank you." He paused. " I have some good news."
" please do tell." Me smile grew.
" if everything goes well. We should be done filming by the end of the month."
My heart skipped a beat. David would be coming home. Then I remembered. " the end of the month? This month?"
" yeah..." he trailed off. " what's wrong?"
" I'll be gone. I'll be in Australia with Hannah for our girls trip we do everything year." I sighed. " I could always-"
" your not backing out. For one: hannah would kill me if she knew you backed out because of me. And two: you deserve it. You work so hard every day. You need a break sometime." David explained.
" you're right, Hannah would kill you." I laughed.
" how long will you be gone?" He asked.
" 2 weeks." I told him.
He sighed. " we'll be fine. When you get back and we're together, I'll take you out to your favorite restaurant, after that we can go back home and watch our favorite movies on the couch. Just you and me. No interruptions." He promised me.
" that sounds amazing." I smiled.
There was a knock at my door.
" (Y/N)? It's time to get up. You have a big day ahead of you." My managers voice boomed.
" I've got to go, good night David, I love you." I sighed.
" I love you too. Have a great day (Y/N)." He smiled.
The called ended and my heart sank. I missed him so much. He had been gone for months. He never had time to come back home. He was always so busy.
I held the phone close to my chest.
The only thing keeping me going was the thought of David and I together in a month.
