10th Doctor (6) ~request~

" So what your telling me is, you took me to a planet where we're going to die?" I asked the Doctor.
" I didn't do anything! It was the TARDIS. She brought us here. Take it up with her! I've got to figure this out so then we don't die because you little humans thought it was okay to invade a planet with not enough oxygen or energy to survive!" He yelled at me.
" Hey! This is millions of years in my future! I had nothing to do with this!" I yelled back.
" but there is still that potential in you as there is in them! If you had the technology to do this kind of things in your time, you would do it too. You human are so stupid. You never think about anyone but yourselves."
That was it. I had enough. I stormed away. I walked to one of the spare room of this " Factory " I didn't even think about turning on the lights. I just sat in silence.
" Hello. How may I assist you?" A light came for in front of me.
" Who are you?" I slowly walked back to the door from where I came.
" I am of the Ood." He spoke.
" wait, the Ood, you can't. Their all gone." I told him.
" then if that is true, I am the last of my kind." He said.
" I'm sorry to be the barer of bad news then." I apologized.
" No need to apologize." The Ood answered. 
" how long have you been here?" I asked him.
" very long. I'm afraid I don't have much time left." He explained.
" what? No you can't." I walked up to the light. " your the last one, you can't die now."
" I'm sorry, but things come and go." The Ood said.
" how do you know your dying?" I asked.
" it's an instinct." The ood told me.
" well is there anything I can get you? To help you? To comfort you?" I asked him.
" no, the Ood exist to serve you." He told him.
" you don't serve me, we are the same." I told him. " but I do have a question."
" ask away." He waited.
" do you know where we can get any more energy and oxygen?" I asked.
" follow me." The Ood walked the way I came in. He opened the door and walked the opposite way the Doctor was. I followed him.
He took me to a room. " here."
" what do you mean? I don't understand?" I asked him.
" this room is full of unlimited energy and oxygen. If you could find a way to move it to the other areas of the factory. It would help." The ood explained.
" thank you very much." I thanked him.
" You are most welcome Ms?"
" (Y/N). Do you have a name?" I asked.
" no. The human were never so kind." He told me. He grabbed his stomach in pain. I led him to a wall to sit against.
" how long until?" I asked.
" not long. Maybe 7-9 minutes." He told him.
I tear ran down my face. " When I first meet the Ood, they were sweet." I told him. I grabbed his free hand. " the Ood are some of the most wonderful creatures. It's sad they went the way they went."
" how did they go?" He asked.
" it was a malfunction in their system. I think. I wasn't there. My friend told me."
" you're different. (Y/N). You care for the Ood. Most humans don't." He replied.
" I'm not like the humans you know." I smiled at him.
I could tell his eye were getting heavy. " if it means anything to you. I want you to know that the Ood won't be forgotten."
" thank you Ms. (Y/N)." His voice was getting very faint.
We just sat there in silence. I closed my eyes for a spilt second when I hear a gun shot. I look up to see the Ood bleeding.
I looked back to see the human who cause the mess. " WHY DID YOU DO THAT!?" I yelled. I took off my jacket and put pressure on his wound. The Doctor came in storming.
" he was going to hurt you! That's what they do!" The human who shot him said.
" HE WAS DYING! HE WAS DYING IN PEACE!" I looked down at him.
" I'm so so sorry." But it was to late. He was already gone. I kissed him hand hand closed his eyes. I got up leaving my jacket. I walked up to the humans. " you want your energy, your oxygen you don't deserve? It's here in this room! The last thing he did was tell me! He saved you and you shot him!" I walked past them. I walked up to the Doctor. " I might be human, but don't think for a second that I am on of them." I pointed to the other humans. I walked out. I ran to the TARDIS. I ran to my room and laid on my bed. I cried there until I heard footsteps.
"(Y/N)?" The Doctor asked.
" what?" I sniffled.
" I'm sorry about today. I didn't mean..." he trailed off.
" yes, you did. You meant it." I sat up looking at him. " I am nothing like those humans. If that is what man kind turns into, I don't want to be one."
The Doctor sat down beside me. He wrapped his arm around me. " I'm sorry for what i said (Y/N). You saved those people lives."
" at what cost?" I asked him.
" this is the curse of traveling time and space. See species come and go. Seeing them turn into something else." He sighed. I understand if you wanna..."
" what? No. I told that Ood that I would pass on the legacy of the 'Ood'."
" well let's get that legacy going then." The Doctor got up and offered me his hand.
I took it.
