Trigger warning.

"What's our exit plan?" I asked looking around.

" Our what?" The Doctor asked.

"Oh God, we're gonna die." I whispered.

" no, no, I won't let that happen!" The Doctor grabbed my shoulder.
I looked down. " hey look at me."

I looked up at him. He towers over me. His brown eyes were filled with hope but fear too. His brown hair was messy but cute as always. " do you trust me?" He asked.

"In theory." I told him.

" well you better start." He took the TARDIS key, he pulled his sonic screwdriver from his tan trench coat. After a few seconds we were inside the TARDIS.

" Doctor, you did it!" I exclaimed.

" it's not over yet." He looked up.

He pulled a lever on the TARDIS control board.

A head machine lowered down.

"what's that?" I asked.

" this is a Chameleon machine.  It rewrites my bio history. I never thought I would use this thing. But it's the only way." The doctor paused. " this is the only way. You have to trust me. "

" what do I have to do?"

The Doctor had become human a little over 6 months ago.

He had been living a lie for 6 months.

I had helped him live a lie for 6 months.

John Smith is what they call him. The TARDIS and that machine really did rewrite his biography. Once everything was done. I checked for any signs of him still being alien.

He has 1 heart.

A human brain.

Everything human.

His time lord self was in my hands. In a watch. A tiny watch that fit in your pocket.

The watch whispers. You can hear the Doctor's voice. But there's a mixture of all different types of voices. They are all just saying one thing "keep the Doctor safe."

Since the Doctor didn't have time to write a story for me that would Correlate with his. I had to make it up a I went. I decided to just be the Doctor's best friend. Nothing more. I knew I could have said anything and " john smith" would have believed it, but I didn't want to push it.

The story goes that the Doctor and I had been friends since we were 3 years old. Our mothers were best friends so by default we were too.

As for the TARDIS, the Doctor put her on some sort of sleep mode, hidden away. In the control room on that little screen were the Doctors instructions. A list of 23 things I was supposed to do some consisted of:

* Not letting him hurt anyone.

* Not getting involved in any historical events.

* Don't let him abandon me.

* If anything happens to us, if they find us, then to release the time lord part out of the watch.

He never said anything about him falling in love with me.

I rewatched that tape over and over again. " ugh! You thought of EVERYTHING! Everything! You thought of foods you don't want to eat! You didn't think of love did you? Your human self has fallen in love!" I took the watch and set it on the empty space on the TARDIS control panel. " what do I do Doctor?" I sighed. " it seems like a selfish thing to get worked up about but, there are some things you don't know about me." I paused. " alright, here we go.
When I was younger, my mother was all alone. She would jump to man to man. I never knew my father. My mother would bring every guy around to meet me. On top of that my mother was verbally and physically abusive. I know this sounds like a sappy story, but Doctor, I can't do this. I know I should put my own selfish emotions aside but..." I pulled my selves down to over my scars on my wrist. The doctor didn't know about them. I didn't want John Smith to know either. " I'm sorry. You probably can't even hear me." I sniffled. " I got to go, John will start to wonder where I am." I grabbed the watch and put it in my pocket. I looked around at the TARDIS, " Good night girl." I gave her a little pat. While I locked the doors.
