THE grieving atmosphere took over the place, making his insides blue. He was slowly walking down the hallway with his head down. He could hear those mourning shouts and cries coming from the other areas of the building.

His chest was starting to tighten as he was slowly nearing the room. He noticed some huge floral wreaths standing on the side. As his feet was getting close to the entrance, he lifted his head. He saw Jeonghan in a black suit, standing formally while giving him a weak smile. "You're finally here."

Joshua gave back the same smile. He was then guided by Jeonghan to enter the room. As they entered the room, Jeonghan tapped Joshua's shoulder before he left.

Joshua roamed his eyes around the room. The place was bright because of the lights, but he could feel the gloomy feeling that engulfed the atmosphere.

His expression became sadder as his eyes laid on the small altar, seeing her big picture with it. He walked towards the altar and got a white flower. He then laid the flower next to her picture. Afterwards, he bowed in front of it.

He then took a step back and kneeled next to her. "Deepest condolences."

She turned a head and gave him a feeble smile. Joshua noticed her swollen eyes. You must have cried a lot without me by your side, right?

"You're here." Joely said in a frail tone, turning her gaze back from Joshua to her mother's picture.

"I'm sorry if I came late." Joshua apologized.

"It's alright. I should be the one who's sorry for leaving you without a word."

It was a few seconds that they remained silent. Joshua peeked at the lamenting Joely. He wanted to hold her hand and hug her for comfort.

"Jeonghan told me that you took care of my father during the vacation." Joely said.

Joshua slowly nodded. "I didn't know that he's your dad."

"I didn't know that you met him, too. I didn't even know that Jeonghan was looking out of him, too." Joely said, still looking at the picture of her mother. "Anyway, thank you."

"I'm glad to know and meet him," Joshua responded, a sorry smile formed on his face as he stared at Joely's mother. "I also met your mom when I tried searching for you. We actually didn't have a good meeting. And about what happened to her, it was Jun who informed me."

Joely pursed her lips, restraining herself from tearing. "I'm sorry..."

Joshua glanced at her. "Why suddenly—"

"I almost did the same. I almost did what my mom did to herself." Joely said. A tear fell from her eye.

Joshua faced her. He then moved his hands to her face in order to wipe her tear. "I know. Jeonghan told me."

Jeonghan went directly to the hospital as soon as he left from work. He's been like that every other day starting the time when he coincidentally saw Joely. Jeonghan saw Joely visiting her dad when he happened to visit a relative who was confined to the hospital as well. And when he knew what Joely was going through, he silently helped her without her knowing.
