~At Sophie's apartment~

The doorbell rang and Sophie called out,

"I'll get it!"

She opened the door to see Ethan standing there leaning against the wall.

"Oh,hey." Sophie greeted less brightly than usual.

"Hey." Ethan worded.

"What are you doing here?" Sophie asked softly.

"We need to talk." Ethan directed.

"Okay? Come in." Sophie said opening the door for him.

"Where were you at school?" Sophie asked.

"Mom picked me up. I was too upset for learning." Ethan answered taking a seat on the couch. Sophie sat next to him and stated,

"What do we need to talk about?" Sophie once again asked.

"Look,I'm really sorry about Drake. He was just so proud of me and-" Ethan began.

"I know." Sophie sounded.

"You know? So does that mean we're cool? Are we back together?" Ethan questioned getting closer and she's scooting away.

"I'll take that as a no." Ethan stated.

"Listen,I really wanna get back together but I'm not gonna date someone who tells their best friend everything we did together and the whole school knowing." Sophie exclaimed.

"And you're not gonna. I promise,everything we do from now on will stay between you and me." Ethan stated before he was leaning in for a kiss. After they pulled apart,Ethan grabbed her hand and gazed at her beautiful eyes until Cat cleared her throat getting her attention. Cat's hands were filled with groceries.

"Oh hey,Cat." Sophie greeted.

"Hey,need a little help here." Cat hinted.

"Oh right,sorry." Sophie apologized getting up.

"See you at school,Babe." Ethan said kissing her cheek.

"Bye." Sophie replied helping Cat.

"So have you told him yet?" Cat asked just as Ethan was about to leave. Ethan heard and snuck back.

"Told him about what?" Sophie responded.

"That you were adopted." Cat answered in a duh tone.

"No...not yet."  Sophie replied worried.

"Why? He's gotta find out at some point since you're dating and he's gonna wanna know how you ended up in the orphanage." Cat told.
