Sophie paused before replying,

"Okay,here's the plan. We go on a trial date tonight and if it goes well,we get back together."

"Great. Thanks so much for giving me another chance. Let's meet at the movies. It'll be perfect,I promise." Ethan assured getting up and walking out the door. He'd do anything to make this trial date perfect. He spent all night planning the date when at five o'clock,he fell asleep.

Sophie was locked in a flaming house and rushing around to find a way out. Every door she tried to open was locked and the longer she stayed in there, the more the fire spreaded. She rests her hands on the wall in front of her panting as a sign of surrender. She heard footsteps coming from behind and when she turned around to see Ethan standing a few feet a way.

"Ethan,what are you doing here?!" Sophie yelled over the crackling flames.

"Your locked in a house in flames!! What do you think I'm doing?!" Ethan shouted.

"I don't need you to save me!!" Sophie exclaimed.

"Sophie,I'm sorry!! I would tell you a million times if I have to!! If you don't take me back...I'm throwing myself in the flames and die!! I would die for you!! Just let me save you!!" Ethan yelled collapsing on his knees. Sophie walked towards him and sat on one knee before saying,

"No you wouldn't do it for me. The last time you did a romantic gesture,the next day you ripped my heart out. You're not in love with me and you never were."

"Of course I am," Ethan corrected on the verge of crying.

"Oh yeah? Do it," Sophie ordered.

After a moment while Ethan hesitates to stand up and throw himself the fire,he states,

"I can't."

"Well if you hate me,then why do you keep trying to pull me back into your heart?" Sophie challenges.

"Because it's still indescribably in love with you," Ethan shared as the tears broke through his eyes like a unstoppable rainstorm.

"No it's not. Look me in the eye and tell me you hate me," Sophie demanded.

"No I won't. 'Cuz it's not true," Ethan refused. Sophie took a few moments to look him in the eye with that very bright sparkle,get up and walk towards the wall resting one hand on it leaving Ethan feeling as guilty as he possibly could.

Ethan was awoken by his phone ringing. By the time he found his phone,it was too late. He turned to his side and noticed that his alarm clock read nine o'clock.

"No." Ethan muttered in shock. He sprung out of bed and rushed to the bathroom to fix his hair with hair gel then was out the door in a flash.

~In Sophie's car at the movies~

Sophie was sitting in the drivers seat in a white dress with a collar with diamonds on them and a black bow and a black leather jacket sleeping with her chin in the palm of her hands. She was woken up by Ethan coming into the car and resting in the passenger seat. He started,

"Hey,Babe."

Sophie turned to him with tears welling up in her eyes.

"Now,you show up?" Sophie asks.

"I promised you a date,did I?" Ethan speaks.

"You were supposed to be here an hour ago." Sophie reminded as her voice trembles.

"Sophe,I'm so sorry. I overslept." Ethan explained.

"So you'd rather sleep than go out on a date with me?" Sophie asks.

"May've forgot to think that through." Ethan commented as Sophie started the car and demanded while her voice drifts off,

"Get out."

Ethan did as told before she drove away. Ethan's heart dropped and shattered into millions of pieces. This was his last chance to make things right and he blew it.
