Chapter 19
"Sophie,I didn't know he was gonna send you this note...you know I won't hurt you." Ethan uttered.
"I thought I did." Sophie stated.
"And you thought right. Sophie, you have to believe me." Ethan pleaded.
"I want to believe you..." Sophie told.
"But what about the kiss yesterday?" Ethan reminded.
"That was before I found out you are gonna hurt me." Sophie explained.
"But I-" Ethan started.
"I think you've said enough." Sophie interrupted. Ethan ran out the door in tears and entered his room. Sophie grabbed the note and ran down the stairs and into the living room when Nina asked,
"What's wrong? Why did we see Ethan running downstairs crying?"
Sophie handed her the note she found. Everyone looked over her shoulder as she read and Fabian spoke,
"I knew it."
"But nothing can hurt her if I'm by her side all day,right?" Amber asked.
"I guess so." Nina answered.
~The next day~
"Sophe,c'mon,I don't wanna be late for class." Amber rushed as she's waiting for Sophie to get her books out and walking off and Amber following her.
"Amber,you don't have to protect me. I'm perfectly fine." Sophie assured smiling
"No way,I'm not missing a chance to be a hero." Amber commented as Sophie rolled her eyes smiling.
"Amber,I'm serious I'll be fine. I'll just stay away from him." Sophie claimed just in time as Ethan heard and looked hurt.
"You better..." Amber warned
"I will. What am I gonna do? Kiss him?" Sophie joked then they both started laughing.
~In the drama classroom~
Amber and Sophie walked in laughing when they saw Sibuna with a bridge laying in front of them.
"Huh...this is new." Sophie commented.
"Well,we need the practice to finish the task." Fabian hinted.
"What ta-ohhhhh." Sophie sounded.
After about ten minutes of practicing,they decided they were ready to do it for real and Nina suggested,
"I say we do it for real tonight."
"Oh,now you wanna go to the tunnels. I thought you said it was too risky." Sophie added with a bright smile.
"I may have changed my mind." Nina answered giggling.
"You seem a lot happier without Ethan." Patricia pointed out.
"I'm a lot happier without a lot of people." Sophie responded.
