Chapter 23

Ethan and Sophie were spending the afternoon together at Sophie's yacht   and the rest of the day strolling hand in hand by the shops of Sunset Blvd when Ethan noticed Sophie still wearing sunglasses and turned around to face her.

"Do you really have to wear sunglasses every time we go out together?" Ethan asks.

"Well,I-" Sophie started.

"Sophe,I wanna show you off and not someone who doesn't want others to know who they are." Ethan expressed watching her white blouse, half shiny black and half shiny blonde hair and blonde bangs flow in the very gentle wind. He took off her sunglasses exposing her sparkly brown eyes. She looked away shyly lifted her arm attempting to block her face from the many people around her. Ethan grabbed her arm and lowered it to stop her. He reached for her neck underneath her flowing hair and crashed his lips into hers.

~Later~

Ethan and Sophie were walking hand in hand to Ethan's Aunt's house. When they arrived,they began swinging on the rocking bench on the porch talking as Ethan has his arm around her.

"Sophe,while we're here...alone...together....I have to tell you something..." Ethan started rising the suspense for her.

"What is it,Boo?" Sophie asks as her eyes sparkle in the moonlight.

"Um...how many kids should we have?" Ethan stalled. Sophie cheered wrapping her arms around his elbow.

"Actually,that's not what I really needed to tell you..." Ethan told looking in her eyes that the moonlight is reflecting off of.

"Uh...I'm...moving." Ethan reveals.

"What? Where?" Sophie asks.

"My parents' company is opening buisnesses all around the world and they're making me go with them so we won't come back for seven years. But know that I won't sleep,talk,smile,laugh,eat or drink without you." Ethan answers.

"Years? You're leaving me for that long?" Sophie asks.

"I'm really sorry. Are you mad?" Ethan quizzes.

"Of course not. I have to go." Sophie says getting up and about to walk when Ethan grabbed her hand,she turned to him and she sat back down.

"That's it. You're gonna leave just like that?" Ethan asks,

"What else is there to say? You're moving." Sophie spoke.

"Yeah,but we can still have this long distance relationship,right?"

"Yeah,absolutely. Just a little upset that your moving,that's all." Sophie says walking off.

"Wait,want me to walk you to your car?" Ethan asks.

"No,that's okay. It's not that far from here." Sophie ended continuing to walk away leaving Ethan sitting there thinking over what just happened.

"Wait,there's supposed to be a huge rainstorm tonight! You can't walk alone!" Ethan warned.

"I'll be fine! It's just a storm!" Sophie yelled turning around and resumed walking. About five minutes into the walk when rain,thunder and lightning hit,Sophie collapsed onto the ground and erupted into a waterfall of tears...

Ethan entered his Aunt's house as more tears are added to the storm in his eyes.

"Sweetheart,what's wrong?" His Mom asked.

"I told her. I told her that we're moving and won't be back for seven years and now she hates me and she will never speak to me again. I hope you're happy," Ethan explained storming up the stairs to his room. He couldn't help but stare at the sky's gift of stars relaxing on his window couch and gazing at the crown Sophie drew on his arm. Ethan hopped out the window and walked to Sophie's house. Once he arrived,he walked toward her room to see the door closed.

"Babe,Baby,open the door," Ethan ordered before Sophie responded by opening the door just a crack by her arm decorated with a tiara Ethan drew and welcomed him with a frown and a tearstorm in her shy eyes.

"Come here,please," Ethan pleaded pulling her in for a hug while she lied her head on his chest.

"I love you," Ethan stated. Sophie's hand slowly reached for his and grabbed it like it belongs to her as she leans up for a kiss. Afterwards,Ethan pulled her in for another hug letting her rest her head and arms against his chest while a tearstorm begins forming in her eyes. Ethan starts developing tears as well squeezing her slightly tighter.

"I'm gonna miss you so much," Sophie said.

"I'm gonna miss you too," Ethan replied. They hugged for what feels like eternity. They were strolling down the streets near Ethan's Aunt's house in the pouring rain. Sophie was wearing Ethan's brown leather jacket and dog tag necklace he gave her to remember him by. Their hands were holding each other as tight as they could until they released and were about to kiss until his Aunt noticed them and called him in. While Sophie was walking off,Ethan was about to enter the house before he took one last glance at Sophie for the night,looked down and slammed the door shut when he walked in. Sophie winded up standing on a strong wooden bridge across the waterfalls looking over the railing over viewing the breathtaking scene below her with her chin in the palm of her hand crying over the thought of her boyfriend moving away for seven whole years. What if he meets another girl and falls in love with her? What if he changes when he comes back and hates me? What if this long distance relationship doesn't workout? Sophie over thought. Eventually,she fell asleep as her horrid thoughts took her to a deep slumber. The next morning,Sophie was in her room in her short purple and white puffy dress  putting on makeup when Ethan came through the door wearing a tux.

"Hey,Boo. Why are you wearing a tux?" Sophie asks.

"Doesn't matter. Let's just say that I don't wanna move for seven years knowing that you and I aren't gonna spend the rest of our lives together. Will you marry me?"

Sophie froze while her eyes widened in shock.
