Chapter 32
"What do you mean he won't let me marry you?" Sophie interrogated looking for more information.
"He said that we're way to young to make this big of a decision and that we're rushing into things." Ethan explained. Sophie just layed there unresponsive before replying,
"Oh...okay."
" ...That's it? Okay? You're supposed to fight for me but instead you're just giving up on us?" Ethan confronted.
"Well,if my Dad doesn't want us to get married then maybe we shouldn't for his sake." Sophie explained.
"But what about our sake? Sophie,I've never thought I'd have one date with you let alone get this far with you! It's like you never loved me enough! You were just being nice! You were the nicest girl at school!" Ethan yelled.
"Ethan,it's too late for this. Can we discuss this in the morning?" Sophie asks weakly growing exhaustion.
"No,we're discussing this now. Why aren't you on that phone begging to marry me?"
"Why are you making me marry you at such a young age?!" Sophie asks in a high volume.
"Because I wanna spend the rest of my life with you but you never felt the same way!"
"Well, maybe I don't feel that way about you!" Sophie exclaimed.
"Fine! Forget everything I said about you! I never meant them, either! I was just being nice! We're through!" Ethan mocked loudly.
"It's about time!" Sophie shouted.
"Get out!" Ethan demanded.
"Gladly!" Sophie yelled storming out the door and slamming it shut putting all her anger into it. Ethan ran to the bathroom and washed the lipstick marks off his face, neck and chest. The next morning,Ethan woke up and looked over to the vacant bed beside him remembering what happened. He picked up his phone and dialed Sophie's number hoping she'll pick up so he'll apologize. He waited and waited and it went straight to voice mail. He spent hours and hours around the rooms trying to reach her but it kept going to voice mail. Once he was at the fifty-seventh message,it again went to voice mail. Ethan threw his phone across the room as it flew to the glass vase and caused it to explode to pieces but he didn't care. All he wanted for Christmas was to have Sophie in his arms again.
