Chapter 36
It was the night before Ethan's big move and Sophie entered his room to see him kiss the same girl she saw him kiss years ago. She was a blonde with long, bouncy, shiny, curls wearing a dark blue floral pencil dress, hoop earrings, makeup, black high heel sandals.
"Ethan..." Sophie worded. Ethan looked up at her in time to see her run off and drive herself home. Ethan ran after her on his motorcycle. When Ethan arrived to her house and bolted upstairs to her room,Sophie spun herself around exposing tears welling up in her eyes and stated,
"Pain."
Ethan collapsed onto the floor in pain. Sophie marched over to him and knelt down.
"Now you know how I felt whenever you broke my heart." Sophie shared.
"Is this seriously how you felt?" Ethan finally asks.
"You knew I had a crush on you but you didn't care and kissed someone else. It was just a crush." Sophie expressed.
"Chelsea means nothing to me. She practically forces me to date her and forcing me to marry her but I love you." Ethan spoke.
"I know you don't." Sophie corrected.
"You know I do." Ethan corrected back.
"No..." Sophie argued before helping him up.
"Did you hear that?" Ethan asked.
"What?" Sophie questions.
"That was the sound of my heart breaking." Ethan explained.
"I know...I've heard it from mine."
"I want you to tell me you hate me and date Chelsea." Sophie ordered.
"But that's not I want. And you know I love you." Ethan debated.
"Seeing you move on will make me happy. Please, date her...please." Sophie pleaded giving him her promise ring back.
"Take him,Chels." Sophie softly ordered. Chelsea came in,hooked her arm around his elbow and dragged him out while he kept looking back expressing his hurt feelings watching her step forward. Sophie waited for them to back up out the door until she closed the door behind him. When she closed the door with both hands, her hands stayed on the door sliding down. She turned around while her hands are still in the middle of sliding.
"It was more than just a crush." Sophie muttered to herself glancing at the floor with her trembling voice from the tears.
