Chapter 31

Beaus POV

"Where is she?" Jai stands up from the bed and walks up to Sam. They walk off and we follow behind.

We get to a room. Sam stops and points to the door. Jai pauses before going in "we'll be here if you need us" I say placing my hand on his shoulder.

A few minutes had passed and Jai was still inside. Suddenly Daniel stood up followed by Luke "Megan!" Luke ran towards her. He picked her up and spun her round. "Thank god your alright!" He placed her down and she ran towards Skip "hey sis you good?" He pulled her in for a hug, Daniel was the big protective brother, the whole time he was worried sick. "Hey you" I punch her arm playfully then pulling her into a hug. "Hey" she smiles at me "where Jai?" She asks talking a seat next to Daniel. "He's in with Kate" I point to the door. She nods "Any news on how she is?" She looks at us, we all shrug, not knowing how Kate was doing "what about you? You ok?" Luke asks "ya I'm fine, what ever they gave me was something just to knock me out, thankful nothing to serious. But poor Kate" tears started to fall down Megan's cheeks "was it bad?" I ask, she tries to speak but can't most have been pretty bad to silence Megan, she's the chatty one out all of us.

Jai's POV

"We'll be here if you need us" Beau says as he places one hand on my shoulder. I pause for a few seconds before going in. But nothing could have prepared me for what was before my eyes. My beautiful girlfriend lying so still in a bed with wires everywhere, hooking her up to machines. "Sorry sir but you can't be in here family only" the nurse says to me "I'm her boyfriend. Her parents aren't here yet! Please can I stay with her" I ask, fighting back the tears. "Of course you can" she tells me as I make my way over to her bed side. I pull up a chair and sit down. I take her hand in mine and place it to my lips. "Can she hear me?" I ask the nurse. She nods "Yes she can, she should be waking up in a few minutes i would say, ill leave you too it then" and with that she leaves the room "hey baby, it's ok! I've got you now. I won't let that monster anywhere near you. I know I promised you before and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to brake it. This is my fault, I should have taken you with me to get the keys off Beau. I'm so sorry and I'm so in love with you! Please forgive me" I can't fight my tears any more. The flow down my face and hit the sheets of Kate's bed.

It felt like hours passing as each minute went on. Kate still hasn't woken up. The nurse said it was only going to be a few minutes. What a pack of lies. By now the others had gone home and Kate's parents had arrived. Kate's dad Jamie had asked was it okay if I stayed because he knew how much Kate would want me to be there. Her mums eyes were build shot from crying, "Jai love why don't you go home and get some sleep? We'll call you the minute there's any change!" Her mum smiles over at me. It was all most 3am. How has Kate not woken up yet? "No I'm fine honestly, thank you but I didn't protect in the first place so I want to be here to tell her how sorry I am" I explain looking back and forth between Louise (Kate's mum) and Kate herself. I smile at them "It was him? Wasn't it?" Jamie spoke up. Louise looked at me with a horrid expression over her face. I hang my head in same and nod "yes! It was, he did this! He was at the party" "Well that's it isn't it? We're going to have to move once again?" Her parent exchange glances. No! They can't take Kate away from me. I promised to keep her safe and that's what I'm going to do "there's no need! The boys and I are going to LA in a few days, if she can't leave ill catch a later flight with her. Let her come with me please? We're going to be there for 4 weeks or so. At least that way she's out of the same country as him and ill keep an eye on her and so will the other boys. I promised your daughter I would look out for her, this is my way of doing this please?" I look at both her parents. They both nod at each other "alright Jai, thank you!" Jamie extends his hand for me to shake it. I turn to Louise and she pulls me in for a hug. "Keep her safe please" she whispers in my ear. I nod and take my seat again next to Kate's bedside. Please babe, wake up, please. I say in my head.

An hour had past and Kate still had woken up. Her parents were now asleep so I felt more motivated to stay awake, so someone was there for Kate when she woke up. But I could feel my eyes getting heavy. My eyes were closing slowly. I couldn't fight it any more. I feel into a deep sleep
