Chapter 2

After telling mum what dad said I made my way back into my room. I grabbed my phone off my desk and laid down on my bed. I clicked on the twitter app and scrolled through. Dead as usual, I locked it again and looked at the time 2:30pm. We weren't going to the city till 7:30pm so I had time to kill. I decided that I would take this opportunity to have a look around the area. I quickly changed out of my sweats and into a red string top with my denim shorts I shoved on my grey vans with a grey baggy zippy hoodie and rolled up the sleeves. I got my phone, headphones and keys and grabbed my penny bored from under the stairs. "I'm going for a skate, see what's around be back later!" I called as I opened the front door, turned on my music and headed down the drive way.

I had been skating for about 10 minutes when I came across a park. There was a few benches and picnic tables here and there, jungle gym and a few ramps for skating on. I decided to get a closer look. I made my way through the park only to notice 3 boys sitting at one picnic table. From what I could tell 2 of them were definitely related because they were almost identically the only thing that I could see that was different was one had straight hair the other curly. The other boy was extremely tall, he was near enough or possibly over 6ft.

Shit! One of the identical looking ones has got me looking! Holy cow, he's fit!! It's the one with the straight hair! Before I know it I'm off my bored with the 3 of them looking down at me. What a way to make an entrance I suppose. I pull out my headphones and sit up, both my knees have scraps on them with blood running down my legs. Great as if its not awkward enough that I fell I now have cut knees and nothing to clean it with. "Let me help you" the fit one says. Now that I'm face to face with them, all 3 of them are pretty fit. "Thanks! Sorry about that stone must of got stuck in the wheel. I'm Kate by the way!" I say with a smile as he pulls me up
"I'm Jai, this is my twin Luke and our best friend James" he replies "Here!" He picks up a leaf and hands it to me "use this!" I laugh and smile at him once again "thanks" taking it from his hands
"You new around here?" James asks. "ya just moved here yesterday" I answer him back "where you moved from?" Luke asked "Liverpool England, can you not tell by my accent?" I laughed. "I like her already!" Jai said. I looked at him confused "why?" I questioned. All he knew was my name, and I'm from Liverpool, he's easy to please I guess "Cause people from Liverpool don't like people from Manchester and I don't like the soccer team Manchester United cause their scums!" He replied with a cheeky smile "A soccer fan I see" I said "who you for?" I ask him "Tottenham" he says showing me the crest on his shorts. Ha so he knows Grandad then, "not bad I guess! But Liverpool for the win".

"So what school you going to?" Luke asked me "eh I thinks it's like Rydel High?" I answered not sure if that was the right name "really same as us" Jai said putting his arm around me. I could feel myself blushing. Think I'm gonna like it here. "Here pit your number in my phone. You can walk with us tomorrow. We normally meet here with Daniel and Megan our other best friends! She'll be happy to have another girl around" Jai says
"Well Megan's our friend but she's more of Luke's girlfriend" James teases
"Shut up!!" Luke punches him playfully, while blushing
"Oh you like her? Aww!!" I say
"She's beautiful but she'll never go for a guy like me" Luke says with sadness in his eyes.

I stayed taking to the boys for what seems like forever, when I looked at the time 6:40pm. Shit! I'm so late
"I gotta go, got dinner with the family! Know any place good in the city?" I say I as get off the table and grab my bored "hungry jacks or Macca's?" Luke says "thanks" I smiled at him
"See you tomorrow at half 8 right here?" James says giving me a hug "I guess!" I replied
"Don't fall!!" Jai calls as I skate off back down the road.
Clearly this is gonna be great fun!
