Aaron's POV

I walk through the doors of the hospital, admittedly getting a bit lost in my process of finding the orientation room.

"Excuse me sir?  Do you know the way to the intern's orientation?"  I hear a voice ask, a finger tapping me on the shoulder.

I swivel my head to see a young adult, probably around my age, with a pale freckled face and dark black hair swept over his forehead.

"Uh no actually that's what I'm looking for, I guess you are going to be an intern here at Phoenix Grace as well, name's Aaron Lycan...." I greet, outstretching my hand to shake.

He takes my hand, shaking it well.

"Gene Peterson."

Screams ring out in my ears as it slowly wakes me up.

I open my eyes groggily to the pitch black darkness, seeing out my bedroom window.

It was still dark out.

Angel's whining-like screams pierce my eardrums, causing Aphmau to stir in my arms.

She begins to sit up, slowly, but I stop her by placing my hand on her shoulder, pecking her on the cheek.

"I got it......sleep..." She smiles gladly, going back to cutely snoring almost instantly.

I work myself out of the covers, shuffling out of the room and into the similar pitch black hallway, entering Angel's room, finding her screams only to be even louder.

I reach over into her crib and slide my hand under her legs and butt and the other under her neck, my fingers structured in a holding position under her head.

"Shhh shhhh...." I repeat, gently lifting her out of the crib and resting her on my shirtless chest, bouncing up and down gently, her screams lessening slowly.

I sigh, admiring her close her half-open eyes as she starts to sleep again, small puffs of air emitting from her mouth.

I then look up distantly out the window at the crescent moon above.

Just having dreams of those times......

Just reminds me more......

That it is not one-bit Aphmau's fault why Alex and Lilith are gone.....

But yet, entirely, mine.

I have been writing quite long chappies lately......

Yikes, I gotta get a life.
