"Garroth suction....." Katelyn commands, both her and Garroth working furiously over the exposed body cavity.
The room was eerily quiet, except for the repetitive sound of the heart monitor.
Well at least till it started beeping like crazy.
"Dammit....DAMMIT....there are too many bleeders...." Garroth observes, shoving lap pads into the incision.
Katelyn, while still working, looks to her left, where Aaron's heard laid, intubated and pale.
Then somehow, she was pulled into a flashback.
"Katelyn! Katelyn!"
Young Katelyn turns around, her bright blue eyes and powder blue hair reflecting the noon's sun's rays.
A 10-year-old Aaron runs up to her, some slightly crushed Casablancas in his meaty left hand.
"What is it Aaron?" Little Katelyn puts a scowl on her face and her hands on her hips.
"I was wondering if you saw Aphmau anywhere, I found her favorite flower in the garden at the park." He smiles, showing Katelyn the pearl white sharp petaled flowers.
Katelyn face palms, shaking her head, her long hair swaying with her at a slower pace.
"Aaron! You can't just take the flowers from the public garden! You'll get in trouble!"
Aaron just smiles larger, looking down at the flowers in his hand. "It'll be worth it"
Katelyn then snaps back to reality, taking another second to look at Aaron's face before getting back to the action.
"C'mon Aaron don't do this.......you don't die you hear me!" Katelyn yells, the heart monitor still beeping fast.
So Katelyn spoke while she worked, her voice already broken.
"You were always getting in trouble when you were young.....my god I swear I thought one day you would end up in jail....."
Katelyn continues, Garroth and her both trying to stop the bleeders.
"You were arrogant, reckless, careless, and above all that you made a lot of bad decisions....." Garroth raises an eyebrow to her, Katelyn shrugging it off, exhaling.
"But.....most of what you did benefitted others....heh specifically Aphmau...."
"You loved her then and you love her now.....and we all know she feels the exact same way......"
"So you can't die......cause you are what's keeping the broken pieces of her together....."
It was silent after that, the machine still showing he was hypertensive.
Katelyn exhales, leaning over so she can whisper in his ear.
"Oh and if you dare even think of dying on my table, I'll kill you....."
Almost immediately, the heart monitor slows down, the line returning to its regular pattern.
Katelyn and Garroth exhale in deep relief, both slightly chuckling.
"C'mon let's close him up......" Katelyn starts, smiling until she sees Garroth's expression and his widening eyes, looking to his right.
"What are you....." Katelyn takes such a deep breath in she might as well have sucked all the oxygen from the room, which is supposed to be a very oxygenated room at all times.
"We gotta move him and fast...."
The two strip themselves of their surgical gowns and start to push the gurney through the open door, their shoes clapping against the advancing frigid water.

During their casual stroll back to the operating room, Aphmau notices something about the white tiles. They seemed to be......shiny and they reflected the ceiling and it was....moving.
"Travis!" Aphmau shouts, grabbing his, unfortunately for Travis, injured arm.
"AY! THAT......." Travis starts, but then sees the water, cursing under his breath.
The two turn the other way and start speed running as fast as an injured man and pregnant woman could, the water creeping towards them at an alarming rate, their sneakers screeching against the ceramic tiles.
Travis uses his non-injured arm to help support Aphmau as they ran, but it didn't do them much good against the increasingly faster gathering water behind them.
Travis glances behind them for a mere second, seeing the water soar across the floor like a powerful river, engulfing everything in its path even though it was only a few inches now.
Well, Travis thought, at this rate, this whole building will flood in at least an hour.
"It's like the freaking Titanic..." Travis tried his best to mutter under his breath, but Aphmau with her keen hearing, heard it regardless.
But he's right Aphmau thought, this is like the Titanic......
Because not that many people survived it.....
The water has now caught up to them, the cool feeling spreading throughout their bodies as the water engulfed their shoes and ankles, making their run much harder to do, their legs thrashing in the current.
As they turned a corner, Travis unexpectedly whips his head back, falling down into the shallow water, almost bringing Aphmau down with him.
"TRAVIS!" Aphmau screams, trying to kneel down to see why he fell, but before she could, someone grabbed a clump of her raven hair and snatched her up and threw her against the floor with such force that at impact with the beige wall, screams emit from her mouth, rattling the attacker's eardrums.
Travis was in-and-out of consciousness, his vision blurry but nonetheless he saw the features of their attacker, his heart beating so quick now and his breaths so sharp because the attacker was none other than.......
"Mr. Garnet......" Travis squeaks, his throat dry and his head pulsing.
And he was walking back towards Aphmau, the same murderous expression he wore just hours before.
His voice though raspy, just made it even more terrifying.
"Finally.....I can get revenge once and for all......"
Have a nice day my crystals!
