New Friends?

*Justin's POV*

I sat in a seat and looked up at the teacher with a smile. She smiled back at me and introduced herself to the class. "Hello class, my name is Mrs. Heart. I am going to be your English teacher this year." She said with a big smile.

Once we started doing things in the class, someone raised their hand and asked a question. "Uhm. Mrs. Heart. Can you please correct my friend right here and say that they/them is plural and people can only be he or she." The girl said with an attitude.

Mrs. Heart smiled. "Well, actually pronouns such as they/them can be used as plural or for a person who does not identify as only a male or female. Gender is something that is different then sex. Your sex is what you are assigned at birth. Your gender is who you are. Your friend is correct." The teacher saying that made me smile immediately. Wow. She's great!

After that class, I walked home and I heard a voice call me "hey, Justin!" I turned around to see Raegan and I sighed. He finally caught up to me and stood in front of me so we are facing.

"Rae. You outed me and now-" I started to speak but I was immediately interrupted. "And now a bunch of people in the school are bullying you and there is a teacher that called you your birth name and made fun of you?"

I was shocked as I just stood there and nodded. He smiled "that happened to me too. I told you already jay, we are gonna be in this together and I'm not gonna let someone mess with you or me. Okay?" Raegan's words made me immediately happy as I nodded with a smile.

We started to walk home as I heard Raegan's phone going off. He took it out of his pocket and answered the call as he held it to his ear. "Hello? Hey mom. No. Yea. That's fine. Okay, be there soon. Bye." Is all I heard from the conversation.

Raegan looked at me as he put his phone back into his pocket. "Okay, so I need to go home and do some chores but do you wanna hang later?" Raegan asked as I made a thinking face "hmm.. yes." I nodded as he smiled.

"Great! Talk to you later then." He said as he ran off and I let out a chuckle.

Out of no where I felt two arms wrap around my waist as I froze and jumped a bit. I heard a small chuckle Amit into the air as I felt a breath being released onto the back of my neck, sending chills down my spine.

"Don't worry baby, it's just me." I heard the voice say as I immediately remembered it From earlier today, it was Tyler.

I removed from his grip and faced him "what the Fuck! First you try to beat me up while you call me tranny and now your calling me baby and being all touchy?" I was surprised once I realized what words had come out of my mouth but I just went with it and continued.

Tyler's face contorted as his smile faded and his kind eyes turned cold. I watched as his hands both formed into tight fists. "You should NOT have done that Justin drew Blake." Tyler said in a low voice through gritted teeth.

I watched as he took a step closer to me, clearly about to get to punch me or hurt me in some way. I was about to get into a position to fight back and put my several years of martial arts to use until I heard another voice yell.

"Hey! Leave him the Fuck alone Tyler!" The voice yelled as Tyler clearly looked un-fazed until I saw who the person was, bryce.

Bryce grasped the hemp of Tyler's shirt and pulled him close to him, you could see the confidence and bad boy image that Tyler had start to fade away as the fear in his eyes formed. "Leave him alone unless you want another one of those talks we had a few months ago." He said and raised an eye brow in a way that actually made me smile cause it looked funny but I did it quietly.

"Mk?" He asked as Tyler nodded. Bryce let go of his shirt and Tyler walked off "this isn't over!" He told me before leaving. Bryce rolled his eyes at Tyler and chuckled. "Sorry about all that, Justin. He is uh.. somethin' else." He said as I laughed "I don't disagree." I responded.

Bryce smiled and I felt less intimidated as I did during the former encounter I had with him earlier today. He seemed more kind and like someone you would want to hang out with. Maybe he's just isn't a morning person.

"So, you walking home?" He asked as I nodded, we weren't too far from the school so he nodded. "Well if you want, I have my car right there and I don't mind driving you home." He said with a smile. "I-I shouldn't.." I replied, nervous in a way.

Bryce nodded "If you don't want to come with me you can just say it. I don't bite. I just figured cause you live near raegan and that's on my way home." He said. I almost felt like I could trust him. Maybe I should go with him.

"Bye Justin." He said as he started to turn and walk away. "Wait! Bryce" I yelled as he turned back to me "yea?" I smiled as I looked at him. "I guess taking a ride with you wouldn't be too bad." I said as a smile came across his face. "Great, lets go then." Bruce said as I followed him.

Once we reached his car he opened the door of the passenger's side and gestured for me to sit down. I did and smiled "why thank you, Bryce." I said as he smiled back and nodded.

Bryce sat down in the seat and started the car as he turned to me with a smile. He was actually a lot nicer than I thought he originally was gonna be. Bryce had this thing about him where he was very funny and even at things you shouldn't laugh at, he will find a way.

Soon we arrived at my house as he stopped and I looked at him. "Thanks for the ride, Bryce." I said as he smiled "Thanks for the company!" He replied as I nodded. I was about to walk away until he stopped me.

"Wait, can we exchange phone numbers?" He asked as I made a thinking face "hmm.."
Bryce slightly frowned "please! Your my new friend! I wanna keep in contact!" He said as I smiled. I had now made a few friends. Maya from my first school, raegan, kale, jack, and now Bryce! I've never had this many friends at once! Maybe this social media thing has its perks. That makes me happy.

We exchanged phone numbers and finally I walked inside as he drove away.

I immediately went down to my room (the basement) and sat down, checking social media and posting a bit.

Slowly I fell asleep.

So he drama is getting better but there is still so much of it and I wish there was none!!
