A few days passed.

Echoing Call and Snowy Blizzard opened their eyes, revealing them to be yellow. Shimmering Glow's eyes opened up, showing a dazzling color of green.

Hawk and Flower became youngcats.

The water kept rising.

Snowflake peeked outside, just to check on how high the flood water was. But before she could even shriek, the water lapped at her paws, trying to drag her down. She backed away into the building quickly. "The water has risen to the entrance!"

Shimmering Glow padded over to her mother and looked up at her with round, green eyes. "Is the water dangerous?"

Snowflake nodded. "Yes, now get back!" She pushed her daughter away with her tail protectively.

River padded over to look outside, meanwhile the clowder was panicking. "I know what they want," he meowed grimly.

Snowflake looked at him with confusion. "They?"

"The Ghostcats. They have come for a certain cat. They gave us back Bird because they figured out who it was." He turned towards his clowder, who were now listening. "The Ghostcats want me."

Snowflake, along with many other cats, gasped.

Sara ran over to him. "No, no, you can't do this to me! It'd be just like Tim! You'd die before our kittens would be born!"

River licked Sara's forehead. "I would still see them, I would watch over them, as I would watch over you. I love you."

Sara started crying. "I love you too, River.."

River turned to Snowflake. "You will be the new Alpha."

Snowflake flinched and shrunk back from him. "What? No, I don't deserve it!"

River's tail flicked. "I don't want a cat who thinks they deserve it to be Alpha," he replied.

Snowflake shivered for a moment but nodded. "I will never be as good as you, but i'll be the best Alpha I can be."

River dipped his head in respect. "I believe in you." He turned towards the roaring water, his green eyes narrowing. The rest of the clowder watched him with shock and understanding. "Ghostcats, you want me in the sky. I am coming to you." Suddenly, he leaped forward with strong back legs, and landed in the water, splashing Snowflake. He then disappeared.

And the water began to disappear.

And the rain stopped.

And the sun shone.
