"Snowflake?"

It had been three days since Glass died and Squirrel was executed. Snowflake and Snuggle's youngcat ceremony was bound to be soon. But instead of being excited, Snowflake had silently grieved over her father. Blizzard hadn't been eating, and Snuggle had become a burning ball of rage.

"Snowflake?"

Snowflake turned around. James, Cocoa and Glow were standing behind her.

She smiled. All her friends were there for her.

"Are you okay?" James meowed, concern written on his face.

"You need to quit being so down, kitten, or i'll claw at your ears!" Cocoa added.

"What Cocoa means is, we hate to see you so down. We know what it's like to be missing parents," Glow explained.

Snowflake blinked, reality flooding her thoughts. James had lost Echo, Glow had lost Autumn (and didn't really have a connection with Mud), and Cocoa had been found on the side of the street with no parents in the vicinity. "Why aren't you with Snuggle?" She asked to Glow.

"He's very angry at everyone right now," Glow replied, glancing over at Snuggle. Something was shining in his eyes, but Glow blinked it away before Snowflake could figure out his emotion.

"We're all very worried about you, Snowflake," James went on. "I'm sorry. I should have never told you. If I would have kept it to myself, Glass might still be alive." He stared at his paws.

Snowflake flicked her tail. "If you wouldn't have told, Squirrel would still be alive, would kill Sara and Tim's kits, then take Sara for his own and make her have his kits, then live a long, happy life, never being punished for his crimes."

James nodded.

"If anyone is to blame, it's Squirrel, and he's already been punished," Snowflake went on, touching her nose to James's.

"You two make me want to barf," Cocoa commented.

Glow only smiled and walked away.

"C'mon, lovebirds, let's get something to eat," Cocoa rasped, snatching Snowflake and James from their moment.

"We're not lovebirds, just friends!" Snowflake hissed.

Cocoa rolled his eyes. "So if you're 'just friends,' why do you get all close and romantic-y with James, and not me or Glow?"

Snowflake only blinked.

"That's what I thought. C'mon; word going around is that you and your brother's youngcat ceremony is today."

Snowflake looked at James, but he hid whatever emotion he was feeling very well.

"What're you waiting for? Let's eat; i'm sure Blizzard will help you groom yourself afterwards," James meowed.
