❝ it's time we finally look at what we've done and wake up. ❞

MAYBE SHE SIMPLY didn't notice it, or maybe she chose to ignore how date-like the situation was— Jimin asked her to meet him downtown "just to talk."
Green didn't know what about or why, the question blazing and lingering stubbornly like a dog barking and begging you not to leave the house. In her mind, there wasn't really much for them to talk about, which she reconsidered because maybe Park Jimin just wanted to get to know her as friends.
"How have you been? I haven't seen you since last month," he said, fiddling with his hands as he talked. She then took notice of how pale and stubby they were; they couldn't be bigger than hers.
I can't with small talk. Just tell me what you want right now.
It was the Saturday after last, which was the last time Green and Hoseok switched— which meant that Hoseok hasn't gotten ahold her phone or read her texts. He probably didn't know that she was willingly hanging out with Jimin, and she had a feeling that he wanted her to interact more with people anyway.
"Okay, you don't want to talk. I see."
"No, wait," Green opened her mouth and said, words spilling out. "I was just thinking that Hoseok doesn't... know about this."
Jimin paused and lifted a hand to his plump lips, fingers gingerly touching his nose, eyes wide. "Oh, I wasn't trying to— I just wanted to talk, you know, and hang out as friends. Because that's what we are. Right?"
"Right." Green took a deep breath, and shook her head. "Sorry."
"You're fine! You just seem out of it. Is something wrong?"
She glanced his way and found that he had his head cocked to the side, hair falling and framing his angelic, concerned face. The sight had her words chocked in her throat. She could only shake her head emptily into space.
Green was, plainly put, nervous being with someone she never really spent personal, quality time with.
Her social skills didn't come naturally to her. She only felt more capable as "J-Hope." It could be his body's natural tendency to bounce off the walls, but her body was in a constant mode of exhaustion, so it didn't work. Sometimes, she felt like being an introvert was a sin.
"You're waiting for me to get to the point, aren't you?" Jimin asked, chuckling. She twitched a smile at the sound.
"Yeah."
"I can respect that." Jimin smiled, walking ahead of her and guiding her to where they could talk more. Green went through the motions and let him drag her around, his feet the only sound she mistook for her drumming heart, and before she knew it, she was standing with him at a park.
Children, adults, and dogs— three words Green didn't like, all in this park. Those things, along with the green grass and the fresh spring-summer air, were things Hoseok loved.
The contrast of us.
Jimin took a seat at a nearby bench and patted the space beside him. Out of manners, she sat beside him, but kept her distance.
"I wanted to ask you a couple of things," he started. When he saw her nod, dark eyes on his, he ran his uneasy palms over his ripped black jeans and said, "How exactly did you and Hoseok meet? Ah, that sounded weird, of course you two met at school, but... how did you two become friends?"
She could actually understand his puzzlement. She herself didn't know how she and Hoseok could ever even speak to each other if it weren't for the supernatural circumstances.
