pull me under, wake me up, feel the rush.

FOR SOME REASON, Green had a bad feeling that Hoseok may have hit his head too hard.

Ever since he was discharged from the hospital, he was so much more outwardly and publicly affectionate towards her, as if he woke up believing that they were actually dating, which violated Rule #8. It clearly stated, "no romantic relationships with other people."

Well, they weren't referring to each other, but as she strongly once believed, "Dating in high school is a mess."

But when Hoseok was holding her hand, playing with her fingers and her hair, learning how to braid it to stick little flowers in it, she felt like something was off. When he squeezed her to death in his hugs because he missed her warmth with him for five minutes, she wondered if she was dreaming. This entire romance thing was sending her brain into spirals.

She heaved a sigh, running her left hand's nails down her scalp, vainly attempting to shift her thoughts elsewhere, anywhere but Hoseok. It was an obsession at this point. Almost like an infatuation.

But it couldn't be.

I'm just afraid that Hoseok thinks we're really dating and that we really like each other for real, she stopped to think, but he originally intended on faking it until the switching stops.

Plus, we haven't switched since he woke up and a lot of time has passed since then. We haven't talked about it. Does he even remember that we did that in the first place? Or was all of that a long dream, I'm the insane one with the twisted memories, and we got together like how normal couples do?

How could I have let his affection go on this long without saying anything? Was I just afraid of sounding like a fool, or am I that desperate for feeling loved?

How could we have even liked each other if switching bodies wasn't even the case?

Frustrated, Green tried to ignore him that day, but that plan failed.

After school, Hoseok waited for her at the gate as he always did, and looked like a desperate man in the desert for water when he flailed at her direction, smile too bright for her dark cave of a world, legs bolting and arms wide like he was flying.

"Hoseok, wai—"

He engulfed her in his death hug, unashamed at all.

On the bright side to all of this, every student was convinced that they were head over heels for each other, and found them to be cute after a while. Their lack of pestering made school life unbelievably easier.

No more bullying. Hoseok, her hero.

And she secretly his heroine.

Maybe it was also because Green smiled and talked so much more, and that wasn't Hoseok in her body. It was her. There was a healthy flush in her cheeks and a twinkle in her eye that suddenly made her charming to everyone— and that was her, the real and true Min Geurin.

Months passed. The two spent their winter break together in Busan. Green told her parents that she'd stay with Yoongi, and she let Yoongi know that she'd be with her boyfriend.

He was surprisingly placid about the entire situation. She wanted to know why. He said it was because he knew she was dating Hoseok.

"I never told you though," she remarked, amazed.

"I know him. He's a good kid. Talented and almost a rap god," he answered simply.

"Oh, 'almost.' So your standard of a rap god is you?"

Yoongi scoffed playfully and shrugged. "So you're over Jin-hyung, huh?"

Green froze. Not that she was second-guessing her feelings for Hoseok or for Seokjin, but her mind was away from Jin for the longest time that it made her stagger a bit. "I guess so," she muttered in reply.

"Hoseok better treat you well though. If he hurts you, I will break him."
