A Prologue to a Life Story

It was just us, but we didn't know it. I met you in a December that started off bleak, until I met you. You turned my whole life around. I was lonely, though I wasn't alone. An empty relationship and empty feelings, all just withering away until I slipped into a dull apathy. Then you were there. I met you and I found myself smiling again, crying again, laughing again, caring again; I could feel again. You woke up my mind and revived my once still heart. You made me feel alive and happy, and since then I haven't felt anything but.

One day in December, the day I met you, I didn't think for a moment that we would be anything other than short-term friends. We talked and laughed, and we were just dumb teenage kids. We were naive, completely oblivious to what we would become. Then when I realized I loved you, I asked you the second most important question I'll ever ask. Everyone thought we would just be another high school realationship, including me; I never knew we would be so much more.

After the first four months, it struck me that we would be so much more than just teen lovers. We're going to be a family, and a story. We'll be the best story this town has ever heard. An amazing life awaits us, and this first year is only the start.

Now it's been six months, and six more await us, and then six years. A whole life, just the two of us.

"Our whole life awaits, and it's going to be a story. The best story this world has ever heard, I promise."
