Half

Half a year. Half an idea of what this life holds in store for us. Half a brain wrapped around the concept of love, and the other half obsessed with each other.

Today marks six months. We made it halfway to the milestone most high school relationships never even comprehend. A full year, that's next. We'll make it. I see it in your eyes, and in the way you talk to me, the things you say. I see a long future, that spans years beyond a year. I can't even imagine what it will be like. If it's anything like the present, then it's more than enough for me. I can't wait to live it with you.

A whole life awaits my Serenity. Today just marks halfway through the beginning of the first twelve months. Today marks the memories, the feelings, the thoughts, the words; all of the love that has spanned the last six months, and today marks it. It has been an amazing half-year with you, and I'm excited for the next. Then for year two, then ten, then twenty, and every single year; no, every single day until the last. As long as I have blood pumping through my veins, and breath circulating my lungs, then I'll be looking forward to the next sunrise with you.

Each and every sunrise is going to be beautiful, followed by a more beautiful sunset. As long as it's with you, I don't care what it looks like. Each one the last six months has been as beautiful as it could be, so I can only imagine what this life holds in store for us. I can't wait to take part in this life with you.

"This life with you awaits, starting each day with a beautiful sunrise, and followed by a beautiful sunset; all of which can't compare to the beauty of you."
