She understands
all the pain of loving her
the agony of missing her
and the hurt of not seeing her.
She understands
the strides I have to take
the things I have to do
and the smiles I have to fake.
She understands
the time I put away
the people I put aside
just to see her face.
She understands
the longing that I feel
the desire to not let go
and the kisses I want to steal.
She understands
the things I have to do
just to make her happy and see her enough
because she does it for me too.
"I will put away, cancel, or skip anything just to see you. I know you understand that feeling, because you always do the same."
