Hey! I've been updating faster, if you haven't noticed. Anyways, thank you so much for reading my story, and I hope your enjoying it as much as I am. :)

Chapter 15: Sorry

I wasn't going back inside the dance now, so I hurried home to the orphanage, hoping I would find Christian there.

It was almost pitch black outside. The dark scared me, anything could hide behind it and I would never know it's there. But right now wasn't the time to worry about monsters, I had to get home and find Christian.

The lights in front of the orphanage were still turned on and I rushed inside. I knew where Christian's room was, so I checked there first, but it was only his roommate and a couple other guys.

I don't think he would be in my room, but who knows?

I burst into my door to find, not the one guy that I was looking for, but five girls that I really didn't want to see right now: Cleo, Darcy, Skye, Ray, and Lacy. They were all taking out their hair and washing their makeup off.

"You guys went to the dance, didn't you?" I asked, stumbling in the door and onto my bed. I took off my skirt and slipped a pair of yellow shorts on, instead.

They stared at me, and began laughing while they nodded. "Yeah, we saw you there with Joe? What was that about?"

I began to get angry and let everything out. "I didn't dance with him, I was forced to! My phone was..." I trailed off as my eyes fell upon a big Samsung Galaxy S4 phone on the bed. Ray saw that I found it and we both sprang for it. I got there first and turned it on, going to the messages.

I scrolled through them, stopping on my name. "It was you. You guys are the anonymous number."

There was silence, and I began crying. "You know, Cleo, I'm really sorry about your diary, Lacy, I apologize that Brogan liked me and not you. Ray, sorry I became baseball captain and you didn't. None of that is my fault! Maybe with the diary, but you don't know how bad I felt for that, Cleo."

They stared at me and Cleo stepped forward. "It doesn't matter how sorry you felt, you still did it. And now that you're out of the way, maybe Christian will notice me for once."

Ray was gaping in the corner, "Brogan liked you?"

I ignored her question and turned to face Lacy. "You were the leader of this, weren't you?" She just nodded and I wiped a tear way.

I grabbed my book and my phone and left the room, slamming the door shut behind me.

I lost my parents, my best friend, and now my boyfriend will never talk to me again.

I wandered in the dark with only the light of my phone to guide the way. I didn't even know where I was going, I just followed my feet, who were following the sidewalk. But when I looked around, I suddenly remembered where I was, and I knew where to go.

Houses started to fade and the road began crumbling, and I realized I was on a dirt road. That was when I spotted it up ahead, and I ran. I ran towards my house.

The driveway was empty, so the new owner must be out somewhere, so I walked up the path to the porch. As I neared, I noticed something I had never noticed before, Christian was sitting on the second step.

"Christian?" I breathed.

"Huh? Scooter, go away." He waved for me to leave.

"Hey, this is my house, I'm not going anywhere." I saw him get up, and quickly added, "and neither are you. Christian, can we talk? Please?"
