Chapter 18: It's Time

  I can see the wheels in his head turning as he thinks of a way to get us out of the hospital without being seen by the group of fans that are now formed outside. Some time during the last few days their fans, who do not like me might I add have found out that they has been visiting the hospital. Everyone seems to think that the fans think Ashton is the one in the hospital cause they haven't seen him come out with the other three boys but I'm sure that some of them think that it could be me since I'm the freak of a girlfriend. I look away from Ashton as we continue to sit in silence. I grab Ashton's phone from the stand next to the hospital bed that I will be leaving shortly, unlocking it I find the name of the one who I would feel most comfortable with asking but  I scroll past it cause I know he's with Jasmine and she's still pissed at me. I find Calum's name and push call. 

  "Hey Ash, how is she?" His voice says answering on the second ring.

  "I'm good, I need you to do me a favor?" I say into the phone making Ashton look over at me. 

  "Oh hey cutie of course I can. What do you need?" He says to me. 

  "I need you to go to my house and get my keys to my car and drive it over here and get me, Calum please?" I ask him hoping he will say yes. 

  "Of course babe, I will see you soon" He says making me smile as I hang up the phone. Soon I'm free from this place. 

  "I take it Calum is coming?" Ashton says from his spot in his seat as I go to the window that faces the front entrance where the crowd has formed. 

  "Holy shit" I mutter under my breath making Ashon sigh and get up to look for himself. 

  "How are we gonna get out of here without them seeing you?" He says, his voice laced with worry and annoyance. 

  "I don't think there is a way" I say trying to accept that fact that once Calum gets here I will be forced to walk out to all of them. 

  "They are going to know, I hope you know that. once they see me it's obvious that something happened. I'm still too pale, I have bandages on me still" I tell him honestly. 

  "I know Peyton, I know"  He says as he gently pulls me into his arms. We stay standing near the window with me in his arms until there is a gentle knock on the door and my favorite nurse appears in the door way. 

  "Miss Peyton, I want you to know that I expect to not see you in my wing again" She says as she closes the door. 

  "I will try" I tell her. Trying is the best I can do at this point, I can't promise to not come back I can only try not to return back here. 

  "She won't be returning, I will be making sure of that" Ashton says as his grip tightens on me. 

  "Don't push him away Peyton, cause judging from the visitors that have showed up for you he is one of the few you have" She tells me with a smile. I know she speaks the truth but yet her words still feel like a whip against my skin. 

  "I'm aware of that" I tell her not looking at either of them. 

  "I think Calum has been seen"  He says as the faint screams are heard. 

  "You ready to go baby?" Ashton says smiling at me as he reaches for the bag that is by our feet so we can leave. 

  "Yeah" I say with a small smile. 

  "Peyton" The nurse says opening her arms to hug which I go into hesitantly. 

  "Please don't push them away, don't end up like the rest if us when you could be saved" She says hugging me a little tighter before he arms leave my sides and her hands are move to my upper arms and that's when I notice the scars that cover her arms and I realize what she means and why she is telling me this. She doesn't want me to become like her, or what she was like before she found an escape.
