My head is on his chest and I can feel the rise and fall of his chest as he takes each breath, each breath so vital to my existence. I open my eyes and glance at the hotel alarm lock located on his side of the bed, it reads 2:30 AM. I haven't got an ounce of sleep since Ashton said we were going to talk about the new marks on my arms. I know I disappointed him and that's just what I don't want to face tomorrow, well later today I guess. I turn my body so now my back faces Ashton as I feel around for my phone soundlessly. I feel him moving around, looking for the warmth of my body that is now no where near him and I don't know if I should be happy or sad that even in his sleep he's worried about me. I have tainted his peace of mind. I slowly slip out of bed and move the pillow right up against him in hopes it will keep him thinking it's me. With the small amount of light from my phone that I allow myself I grab the room key and my sweater and my vans as I slip out of the hotel room, closing the door with as little sound as I can manage. Walking a little ways from the door I lean up against the wall and close my eyes, I don't have a clue where I am doing.

"What are you doing? It's like 2:30 in the morning?" I hear a sleepy voice say coming from my right making me open my eyes.

"Jesus Calum!" I say as I let go of the breath I wasn't aware I was holding on to.

"Whatcha doin?" He says again with a small smile.

"Couldn't sleep and Ashton's out like a light. What are you doing?" I say not fully lying to him.

"Same I guess, too much on my mind." He says with a small smile that doesn't reach his eyes.

"Wanna talk about it?" I ask him.

"Only if you're gonna tell me about what's going on in that pretty little head of yours" He says as I slip on my Vans.

"I don't know if you could handle what goes on in this mind of mine Calum, no one really can; not even myself" I say linking my arm through his and heading towards the elevator.

"Everyone has something that fucked them up on the inside, some just hide it better than others" He says to me as he pushes the top floor button.

"What is at the top floor?" I ask him

"The roof Peyton" He says laughing at me a little.

"Oh..... right" I say with a small giggle.

"Where's the rest of your band of idiots?"  I ask which makes him give me a small pout.

"Obviously you know where Ashton but Michael, Luke and Leigh I think went out" He tells me as the elevator takes us up.

"Why didn't you go?" I ask him curiously because lets face it the boy enjoys a party.

"I have Karen here with me" He says with a smile so bright it makes me want to pinch his cheeks.

"Did my wittle Calum meet a girl?" I ask him with a giggle as we walk out of the elevator.

"Uhh, well no and yes. No because I've known her since I basically eye fucked while on stage at the Wiltren Theater in  LA a while ago and brought her backstage and yes because we only became an actual thing recently because she's a stubborn one like you." He tells me, still with a huge smile as he opens the door to the roof top.

"Oh my, you're definitely in for it if she's stubborn" I say laughing

"She is but she is worth every second of it" He says taking a seat on the edge of the building.
