I drag my eyes off of the movie that is playing to check the time once more. Finally its eight o'clock time for me to get ready, I get up and walk to my closet looking for an outfit for the unknown events of tonight. I continue my search until i settle on a pair of tight black pants, a white tank top and my favorite leather jacket. I set my clothes on my bed and head to the bathroom to curl my hair and do my makeup  As I curl a piece of my hair around the barrel my phone begins to go off, I look down at the screen to see my best friends name pop up.

"Peyton are you getting ready?" Maddie's voice fills my ears.

"Curling my hair as we speak babe. What are we even doing? and who's this boy?" I ask her biting my lip as I let my hair fall from the wand and begin to curl another piece.

"You have never had much patience Pey." She laughs into the phone.

"Nope, now spill Maddie" I say as I continue my hair.

"We are going to a party, and he's a friend of the new boy I'm seeing. He's meeting us there." She tells me.

"What time are you getting here?" I ask her as I grab another piece of hair to curl.

"nine or nine-thirty. I gotta go get ready I will see you soon Peyton" She says as I hang up the phone.

I let the last piece of hair fall from the barrel, I look in the mirror at my hair avoiding looking at my face for too long I sigh and start my makeup. Before long my makeups done and I head back to my room to get dressed, once i'm dressed I go to my closet and pick out my favorite pair of vans and look in the mirror. The girl looking back at me I don't recognize as I try to find myself in her but I cant and that's probably best. The sound of the front door closing makes my eyes look away from the unfamiliar girl in the mirror.

"PEYTON! You should REALLY keep that door locked! You are always home alone." Maddie says to me as she looks me up and down as what I would assume a mother would do.

"No one has done anything" I say rolling my eyes at her.

"Yet Peyton, yet it the key word" She tells me as she hands me my leather jacket.

"No one will" I tell her sliding my arms in and walking out of my room thinking that even if someone tired to harm me I wouldn't care.

"You ready?" She says as I head to the kitchen counter and grab the keys.

"Yup" I say popping the p at the end.

Twenty minutes later we are outside of a well known party house that in only a few short hours is guaranteed to be shut down by the cops, sending everyone running not trying to get caught. We walk in greeted by familiar faces of peoples names I should know but don't due to the the fact I was probably drunk when we met. I look at the clock on the wall its now ten o'clock the party will be in full swing shortly and that fact makes me smile. I feel Maddie grab my hand and lead me in the direction of the couch filled with boys.

"Hey baby" the boy in the middle smiles up at Maddie making me realize this is the new boy she is seeing. I wonder how long this will last until she gets bored. No long I know that for a fact.

"Chris this is Peyton, Peyton this is Chris" Maddie says smiling at us from her boy toys lap.

"Well hello there gorgeous" Chris says to me making me stomach turn.

"Hi" I say with a small wave as I look at Maddie wondering why thr hell she is trying to set me up with someone.

"Wanna sit?" Chris says with a smirk on his face as he pats his lap for me to sit down.
