Chapter 19:
Ditched on a date. Might as well say goodbye to by dating life for a while or forever. This is the ultimate bomb that was waiting to get exploded. And what perfect time it was for my first ever date.
My hands were extremely sore as they grasped on the bloody steering wheel. I didn't even dare look at the smooch of my DNA on the wheel. I kept my eyes on the road, no matter how much water was filled into them. This was going to be a painful weekend for me.
It took me longer than I expected getting to my house. I stopped a couple times on the side of the rode, to punch even harder on the dashboard in front of me. Over and over and over again. I didn't care how much my hands soared up.
I finally appeared in the front of my driveway, seeing my yellow house light up the neighborhood. I hopped out the car, taking my time and not using my hands at all to grab anything. Many of my fingers felt broken and ready to snap and to fall of my hands. I slammed the door hard, the sound echoing throughout the quiet night.
I walked up the steps to my house, seeing the family room light on through the window. So that meant my mom was awake, probably wanting to know what happened at the date. I didn't want to talk about, nor even hear the word "date."
I opened the door slowly and quietly, cautiously watching my hands. I went inside and closed the door behind me. I took little steps, using my tipi toes to navigate through the house. But of course, my mom was sitting on couch in the family room. She looked like a reporter, almost drooling for information.
"Soo what happened?" She asked me in a high pitched voice. My hands were in my pockets, although I was feeling pain when they brushed my pants.
"I don't want to talk about it," I said, and stomped upstairs. My mom looked shocked, as if she didn't see this coming.
"What happened," she sort of yelled as I ran up the stairs.
"Fernando!" I heard her faint scream in the distance as I went into the bathroom. I took of my clothes and went into the shower. I turned on the faucet and let the steaming water pour on my bloody hands. I screamed as the water burned my skin quite ferociously. It caused pain throughout my fingers and caused me to bite my lip, trying to hold back another scream. I shampooed my hair, and then stepped out of the shower. As I put a towel around my waist, I remembered what she do the day before. Hold my hand. All a lie.
I walked out into the hallway and into my bedroom. I put my pajamas on (I still wear them yes), and looked at my hands again. I had deep cuts in them, and knuckles felt like crap. I went into my bed and grabbed a book to read. It was a book my dad got me for my eighth birthday party. It was a thick book, since I read a lot when I was younger. I loved the plot of the book and the main character was astonishing. He destroyed the alien planet seconds before they destroyed earth. It was kind of cheesy, but I still liked it. As I was almost done with the third chapter I heard something.
A ringtone.
From my phone.
I picked up my phone which was on my dresser. I hadn't checked it in about an hour or two. When I turned it on, I almost gaped in shock.
24 messages:: Valerie
I was about to open them up, but then I looked down at my hands. I out my phone back on the dresser and went into my bed. I pulled the covers over me and turned off the lamp. I was trying to sleep, but every five minutes I would hear my ringtone. I didn't care. She ditched me. She ditched me.
On my first ever date.
