Harry's POV
The party had grown to its fullest & people stumbled around on their own feet from the unreasonable amount alcohol they had consumed stupidly. What the hell was I thinking when I invited these assholes here?
Niall stood about a yard from me, talking to a tall, tan, blonde girl who was obviously trying to fuck him later tonight. I decided to see if maybe he's seen Aron. The last 30 minutes I've spent searching for her.
"Hey, have you seen Aron?"
The girl he was once talking to unhooked her hand from the back of his neck & stepped back a little. She gives a scowl as I squeezed my way in & I simply ignore her bitchy look.
Niall shakes his head. "Nope, sure haven't." He slurs.
Fuck he's drunk....
I give up quickly on his help & turn to find the next best person I could think of.
Sam.
Body's wobbled & weaved all around me as I scanned through the drunken group. Every now & then a body would fall onto mine & I'd have to steady them before being able to comfortably walk away. We don't need anyone falling & busting their head open. That's the last thing we need. Cops. Ambulances. Trouble.
In the mix of trying to find Sam I look around for the brunette love of my life. A sudden pressure of guilt pressed on me as I reevaluated how I treated her when that ass hat Jason came around. It's not her fault. She was just being nice & I treated her harshly. God I'm a ass.
A familiar face passes through the kitchen & I push my way towards it quickly. "Aron!" I call out but she keeps walking.
Why won't she stop?
"Aron baby." I continue to follow her through the kitchen & into the living room.
I grab her upper arm, finally close enough to her. "what the hell-" I began to a pair of brown eyes look back at me.
"Dude get off!" The girl snapped & pushed my arm away.
"Sorry." I mumbled quickly as I walked away.
I couldn't help but feel a haunting feeling in my chest as I frantically searched for her. Where could she be? I mean this house isn't that big. I hope she isn't mad at me & didn't run off. I really do.
In the mix of running around crazily, I finally found someone useful. "Sam, have you seen Aron?"
She gives me a puzzled look & turns her head to scan around the room. "Nope." She finally says. "I haven't seen since you gave her the cold shoulder."
"Sam, I didn't mean to okay?"
"Harry don't give me your lame excuses. You treated her as though she was the one who walked up & started flirting with him. You just left her & she felt both hurt & confused because she did absolutely nothing wrong!"
"I know, I know. How many times do I have to say sorry?"
"You don't have to say sorry to me, you need to show you're sorry to Aron."
"Well if I knew where she was I would."
Placing her hand on her hip she rolls her eyes. "Have you checked your bedroom?"
How stupid could I be to have checked every room in this bloody house except for our room?
"Thanks." I quickly say & turn running for the stairs.
I push past all the drunken people crowding the hall & pray inside she's in there, on the bed, sleeping peacefully. God I will never have another party. This is the stupidest thing I have ever done. I'm going to tell her that too. I'm going to tell her she was right. I'm going to hug & hold her, tell her I'm sorry & let her know it was me who was behaving wrongly. I'm going to let her know exactly how I feel.
I push the door open & gaze around the dark room. "Aron?" I ask as I try to find the switch to the light with my hand.
Finally finding it I turn it on to face a sickening sight.
My Aron curled up asleep next to another guy. His arms holding her instead of mine. His smug face held a grin as he looked up at me as though he had won.
I saw the color red in a instant. My vanes began to burn with a coursing rage & I saw my body shake.
"You piece of shit!" I hiss as I fling myself across the room & at him.
I pick him up effortlessly by his shirt & shove him to the ground. I crawl over him punching repeatedly. I ignore the pain in my fist as I continue to smash it into his face, blood beginning to puddle around him.
My rage numbed me & silenced everything around me. All I could hear was a ringing in my ears, all I could see was the slow motion impact of my fist into his face. And as slow as it seemed to go, suddenly it was jerked away as a body came between us. A body I didn't want to hurt.
"Stop it Harry! Stop this right now!" Aron cried.
I held my fist up in the air as I started down in horror at the fear in her eyes.
I hadn't touched her but I had hurt her more than anything ever could. She looked up at me as though I had became the scariest thing in her nightmares. Like I was some horrifying stranger. Like I was a monster.
"What is gods name is going on here?" A deep voice boomed from behind me.
"Oh my gosh." Another familiar voice screamed. "Harry what have you done?" My shoulders are shoved back.
Even though I knew it was my mother, I couldn't look away from Aron's tear filled eyes. It was though I was watching my very existence disappear through her eyes.
"Okay, everyone out. Party is over, get out."
"Darling are you okay?" My mother asks Aron.
"Yes I'm fine, Jason are you okay?"
My heart is torn once again as she cares for him.
"Harry, come with me." Niall appears in front of me. "Come on mate."
I numbly push myself off the floor & follow him towards the door, watching Aron the whole way. I was hoping she would look up at me one last time & give me a little bit of faith that tomorrow this will all be a bad night & that's it. But she doesn't even bother to look up at me. She doesn't even glance in my direction. Instead she ignores me. She simply pulls herself away & pretends as though I don't even exist.
