A/N: Before we start, I just wanted too say something. I'm aware that I haven't written anything in a long time, and I greatly apologize. It's May and I've been studying and taking my exams and finals.. and of course classes. On the bright side, school let's out in June! So not much longer and I'll be able to update more. Also, I wanna talk about Booth Buddies. I absolutely adore this episode! I really can't believe Marco had the courage to kiss Star. Everything about this was perfect. Only, I do feel bad for Tom. Our precious bean deserves better, I love him with all my heart. <3

NO IM JUST KIDDING, BACK TO THE STORY

Star entered the Butterfly castle, the lights shimmered off the windows. The following events still had her captivated. She really couldn't believe Marco, her best friend, squire, ex crush, The Marco Diaz, had a crush on her.. and kissed her!

She sort of picked up on his strange behavior but never really knew what the problem was. She never really payed much attention to it until now.

Her feelings were confusing, she was starting to question her relationship with Tom. Did she really love him or did she still have feelings for Marco? She didn't know. She was crazy for Marco, way more than she was ever crazy for her demon boyfriend. He took care of her in a way she'd never expect anyone too. Though they got into fights, he'd always be the first one to apologize even when everything was her doing.

The thoughts continued bubbling in her mind as she slowly made her way down the royal hallway. Something pointy stabbed at her fingers, she jumped a little and looked down. The pictures were still in her hands. She forgot she was still holding them.

The princess raised them up to where she could see them. Wow.. just a normal night turned into something huge. A soft smile spread across her face as her cheeks began to warm up. Small butterflies started fluttering inside her stomach- OOF.

Star bumped into a bedroom door, not hers though. She looked up to see Marcos door. Crap. She thought to herself. Without looking back, she ran across the hallway to her door.

The floor creeked under her feet as she walked into her bedroom. She didn't know why, but everything just seemed so different to her. Everyone and everything was fine this morning when she woke up, but now it's all just different in so many ways. She just couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Star didn't pay much attention to it. She looked around her room for a place to hide the pictures she secretly took from the photo booth. Aha, she completely forgot about the little lantern in the corner of her room, it was originally put there just for decoration. She looked at the pictures once more and hugged them tightly. With that, she put them into the hiding spot and shut the small door.

She took off her clothes and looked for some pajamas to wear. She was too lazy to pick anything fancy so she just went with her white and blue cropped hoodie, some leggings, and her baby blue socks that matched the hoodie. She tried putting her hair in a braid but that didn't work out so well so she just threw it up into a messy bun.

The socks were a little slippery, but she didn't care. As long as she was careful. Oh god, she sounded like Marco.. Marco.. the Latino started welling up in her mind once again, her cheeks became warm and another sweet smile grew across her face.

"I should probably go say goodnight to mom and dad." She looked down at the cute laser puppy rubbing against her leg and kissed its head. She turned off the light to her room and shut the door behind her. "Uh.." The Princess heard a voice from behind her, a very familiar one too. SHIT.

She didn't wanna turn around. She wasn't ready to face him, so she just stood there, looking at her door.

A hand was placed onto her shoulder. "I-I get it. I know you're mad at me and probably hate me right now, but I can't stand this awkwardness." Her eyes widen. What? She turned around, making Marco blush. He couldn't even look at his own best friend without feeling butterflies.

"Y-You think I-I hate you? I don't, trust me. I'm just... startled. That's all." She smiled and gave him a quick hug. "But, I-I really need to talk to you. Can we go into my room for a bit?" He nodded and she led him back into the bedroom.

She flicked on the light and sat on her bed next to him. Her eyes drifted off to look at him. His cheeks had a tint of red of them and he was playing with his fingers. It was obvious that he was nervous.

"Look, we can't avoid this conversation forever so I'm just gonna get it over with." Star tucked a piece of hair behind her ears as she started blushing again. "We kissed." Marco wanted to just come right out and say it, but he was too nervous. So he just kept his lips sealed. "Yeah, we did." He chuckled a bit in between his sentence. Though the lip smacking wasn't meant in a romantic way at first, it still made him burst with excitement to think about.

"And... you have a crush on me." She tried to hold back a smile, but failed. "Yeah, I-I do." He scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Marco, how come you didn't tell me earlier?" "Because you're dating Tom, and I know you don't feel the same way." Tears pricked the corners of his eyes. Star scooted closer to him, placing one of her hands on top of his.

He blushed at her touch, a love struck smile appeared on his face. "Just because I'm dating Tom, doesn't mean I don't feel the same way. To be honest, I only got back with Tom to try and get over you. It obviously hasn't worked." She giggled.

Marco couldn't speak, words weren't forming. He was so in love with the girl sitting right beside him. "W-What!? But y-you kiss him, you p-play, you f-flirt, you... did all of that.. just to get over me... b-because i broke your heart."

Tears began falling from his cheeks. All he could do was stare at the ground. Star noticed this and felt the wet drops fall onto her head. Did she make him cry... oh no. "No! Marco, I swear you didn't. I only did it because you and Jackie were together. You've never broken my heart, I promise." She smiled.

He looked over to her and turned red. She was so adorable, how'd he get so lucky? He chuckled and let out a dreamy sigh. "Look away, I don't want you too see me like this." He laughed and so did she. "Awe, cmon! You look cute." He paused.

"Listen, Marco. I can't promise it'll be soon, but I'm gonna find a way to break up with Tom." She continued her sentence as she grabbed his hand and walked him to his room. "But I can assure you.. I will."

"How'd I get so lucky to have you in my life?" Marco asked in a flirtatious voice, causing her to cheeks to redden. "H-Hey, we're at your door. I'll see you in the morning, okay?" She began to walk away when a pair of arms wrapped around her waist. Warm, soft lips.. the ones she recognized from not too long ago, pressed softly against her cheek.

     "Goodnight."
