When Tucker makes an unfortunately timed wish, Danny is rendered temporarily blind by Desiree, who is more than happy to use his lack of sight as an opportunity to terrorize Amity Park once more.

Danny tapped his fingers anxiously against his cheek, confusion swirling in his mind as he watched his sudden ambusher walk away: a blonde girl with a blaringly bright pink skirt that was far too short, and a white shirt that was far too small.

He wasn't quite sure if he'd seen her before, but she had approached him seemingly out of nowhere at the start of lunch and had started talking to him. He had no idea what she wanted, but whatever it was he could tell part way through their chat that she wasn't getting it. Their conversation seemed to fall flat the longer they talked, her brown eyes losing their hopeful sparkle. Eventually she bid a mumbled goodbye to him, a disappointed frown on her face. She had seemed a little annoyed and off-put when she left, her hips and ponytail swaying behind her.

The whole thing was... strange. Had he done something wrong? He hadn't meant to upset her.

Danny felt suspicious and a little lost about the entire interaction. He wasn't generally a social person, he only had two friends, after all, but for some reason that girl didn't seem to pick up on his obvious inability to indulge in idle chatter. Or perhaps she did, and just thought she would be able to get some sort of reaction out of him anyway. It appeared she failed.

"What was that about?" Sam asked, plopping her tray on the lunch table as she sat down, bringing Danny's thoughts to a close. She eyed Danny with an unreadable expression.

Tucker smirked at her and reached across his own food to nudge Danny in the shoulder teasingly. "Nothing. Just some girl trying to flirt with 'Clueless' over here," he said, before rolling his eyes. "It was a bit sad, actually."

Danny blinked at Tucker in surprise, his jaw dropping. He whipped around to stare at the door the girl had disappeared into with a new sense of urgency. "Wait, seriously? She was flirting with me?" he questioned, turning back to his friends. They both looked identically unimpressed, and Danny could feel his own face grow hot as he blushed. Was it really that easy to tell her intentions? Suddenly, he felt guilty. He really had no clue she was trying to flirt with him, but now he felt bad. He'd feel pretty disheartened too if someone he was trying to flirt with completely ignored his advances. Not that he would have fared any better if he had known. In fact, knowing how he acted around Paulina, it probably would have just made everything worse.

At least that explained some things about the way she had acted.

Sam groaned and banged her head on the table, cursing under her breath. Tucker chuckled and ran a comforting hand down her back. "Where did we go wrong?" he sighed dramatically, shaking his head.

Great, now Danny felt guilty and ashamed– and perhaps a little mortified, too. "It couldn't have been that obvious, right?" Danny muttered indignantly, replaying his conversation with the girl in his head. Did he really know so little about flirting? Or maybe he just didn't know anything about girls? Probably both, actually.

Tucker rolled his eyes. "Dude, I don't think she could have been any more obvious," he replied sympathetically. Danny dropped his face into his hands, moaning. He wasn't sure what he would have done if he had actually realized what she was doing, but his obliviousness causing the loss of a pretty girl hurt his ego nonetheless. Tucker patted Danny's shoulder and Sam used the distraction to steal a fry from the techno-geek's tray, munching silently.

"I feel sorry for you, man," Tucker told him. "You're so clueless I wish you were blind, at least that way you would have an excuse." Danny had just lifted his head to glare at Tucker when he shivered, his breath puffing out in front of him. The three of them immediately froze and Danny's eyes widened. "Uh–" Tucker stuttered, retracting his hand. "That wasn't me, right?"
