A/N: Look! More Danny and Jazz bonding! Except this time, there's a whole chapter centered around it! Also, I ate a Salmon Cake for dinner and I seriously regret it now. I also watched Spider-Man Homecoming for the second time.

Jazz walks. A lot. It's something her mom had gotten her into awhile back. "It's good exercise, helps you stay fit to fight ghosts!" Her mom had said. While that's not exactly the reason why Jazz takes walks, it's a pretty good one. When she reaches the park though she stops. Usually she would just pass through and continue on her walk, but this time she could have sworn she had just heard someone crying. There's no way anyone would be around, would they? It's almost dark out, a dangerous time for walking she knows, but she just needed some air.
Jazz sighs and turns to continue walking when she hears the sniffle again. Her sisterly instincts flare up something bright at the small sound. She knows that sniffle anywhere. It's the same sound she had heard when her mom brought home a small blue bundle, the same sound who's owner she's comforted a thousand times. She whips her head around for the source and locates a dark huddled lump on a nearby bench. She slowly approaches it and sits down beside the lump, which she now notices is shaking with silent sobs. "Danny?" She asks and he freezes.
His head lifts up slightly and he stares at her through his black hair with sorrowful eyes. Her face softens and she reaches a hand out to touch him but he flinches away. She can't help the look of hurt that flashes across her face at the action, her brother's face becoming more distressed upon realizing he had hurt her. He sniffles again and wipes his eyes with the palm of his hand, glancing away from her. "Go away Jazz." He croaks. She realizes he must have been crying a long time for him to sound like that. How long had her little brother been out here? And why?
"What's wrong?" She asks quietly. He shakes his head. She frowns and nudges him. "What happened to us telling each other everything?" She tries to joke, but it comes out more serious and hurt than she had intended. He scoots away from her, closer to the end of the bench. "I half died." He mumbles darkly. It was at this point, Jazz had had enough.
She reaches forward and grabs his wrists, turning him towards her. He looks at her with wide eyes and she huffs at him angrily. "Danny. You know it's best to just tell me what's wrong with you, or else it's just going to eat you up inside and you'll get worse and worse."
He looks away from her, refusing to look her in the eyes and she tightens her grip. "I'll deserve it." He replies. He glances back at her, their eyes lock for a second before his blue immediately go back down. But a slight glance was all Jazz needed to see the fear in his eyes.
"Please, little brother." She begs. He sighs. "What if I turn into Dan?" He whispers weakly. "That's what this is about?" She answers, letting her hands drop from his. He folds his hands in his lap and nods slowly. It doesn't seem serious to Jazz, but it's painfully obvious that it's serious to him. She pulls him towards her and wraps her arms around him in a hug, his fingers reaching up to grip onto her shirt tightly. "Danny, you won't turn into him." "But how do you know?" She feels him start to shake with barely contained sobs again and she feels like crying herself. He's only 14 for darn sake. He shouldn't have to deal with this.
"I know, because you're you Danny. You're the kindest, bravest and best person I know. You're Amity's hero, and my little brother. You care, and that's what's important. You'll be fine Danny. I promise." She reassures. He slowly starts to relax in her arms and she begins to rub circles on his back. They stay there on the bench until Jazz realizes that her brother had fallen asleep. She lets him sleep for a little while longer before it becomes too cold for her, Danny's unnaturally cool skin not helping any. She shakes him awake and he yawns, blearily opening his eyes. "Lets go home." She tells him and he nods. She grabs his arm and drags him up and they walk home, Danny leaning on her tiredly the whole time. He vaguely wonders if what Jazz had said is true. He hopes so, but to her, it's true. He won't turn into Dan, because Jazz just knows he won't.
"Thanks...for helping me." Danny says as they near the Fenton household. She nods. "You don't need to thank me, little brother. After all, what are siblings for?"
