A/N: mmmmMMMMM. Reverse Trio!!! Aaahhh. One of the best things that has come out of this fandom. If you don't know what Reverse Trio is, its that Sam is the halfa with ghost hunter parents, Danny has a normal family and he's a real shy space nerd with glasses, and Tucker is a rich techno geek-goth. I love how adorable this AU's Danny is. Although, he's a bit hard to write since I'm so used to writing him as an overconfident selfless idiot. Enjoy! :)

_________________________________________"So," Tucker drawls, running to catch up with Danny and Sam as they walk down the hall. "How was sleeping last night?" He asks. Sam turns to him with a glare, flashing her eyes green in warning. Tucker raises his eyebrows and distances himself from the ghost girl. "Sorry." He laughs, putting his hands up in defense. Danny rolls his eyes and gives a short snort. "Don't be mean, Tuck." He says. Tucker crosses his arms and walks back over. "I'm not the one being mean! All I did was ask an honest question." He insists.
Sam puts her hands on her hips and whips around to stare at him. "I got no sleep, alright? Ghosts were bothering me all night and I just didn't have the time!" She exclaims, lifting her hands up and waving them around, causing Danny and Tucker to duck. "Well, maybe you should take a break for a bit, let us handle it." Danny suggests. Tucker gives the other boy a panicked look and shakes his head. "Nuh-uh, man! I'm going on a trip with my family. I'm leaving right after school." He informs.
"What?" Sam says. "You didn't tell us?" Tucker shrugs. "It was a last minute thing. I didn't know." He tells them. The other two groan and Tucker gives them a sheepish smile. "Sorry. Again."
"Well, I guess I can help you with the fights, Sam." Danny says. Sam gives him a weird look. "What? Danny, no! It's too dangerous, you could get hurt." Now it's Danny's turn to cross his arms. "I've fought ghosts before, Sam. I'm not a baby, I'll be fine." He insists, a little irritated at her lack of trust. Sam sighs. "I'm sorry, Danny. I guess it doesn't really matter what I say though, huh? You'll just help me anyway." She looks up at him out of the corner of her eye and he gives a lopsided smile, following the action with a sharp nod.
"Fine... you can help me. But! You have to be careful, okay?"
"Gotcha. I will be the carefulest, careful that ever carefuled."
"Don't ever say that again."
A sharp ding sounds through the hallway and the trio stops, Danny and Sam looking at Tucker, the source of the noise. "Ah, that was a text from my mom. I guess we're leaving a bit early, they're waiting outside in the car." He looks over at them sheepishly and shrugs. "See you guys in a few weeks!" He yells as he runs off towards the school's front doors. "Guess it's just us, huh?" Danny observes. "Uh-huh." Sam nods, before walking past him and opening the school's entrance. "Hey!" Danny shouts, gathering his astronomer books tighter in his arms and running after her.
"Hey, so uh..." Danny laughs nervously and slows down to walk next to her, rubbing the back of his neck and using his shoulder to push up his glasses. "I was wondering if we could hang out later?" He asks, looking over at Sam expectantly. She slows down a bit and glances at him out of the corner of her eye again. "Sure." She smiles, her smile widening when Danny returns the smile. She opens her mouth to make a teasing comment about his red face when a shiver cuts her off, the cold feeling shooting up her spine and back down. Sam groans loudly and Danny's smile drops into a frown before lifting back up into a smirk. "I can help you now!" He insists.
