Today was the day. It was our first show of the Something Different tour. We were in Atlanta Georgia for our first stop. I was honestly so excited, I've missed touring so much.
We've got a couple hours till the show and we're currently doing soundcheck. The girls were fixing the merch booth and Lex was vlogging.
"What is that?" Lex laughed.
"It is a limited edition why don't we merch." Clara smirked.
"I swear to god if it's what I think it is.." Kayla starts.
"That's right! One lucky fan who comes to the show tonight can go home with a Why Don't We Bible!" Tanya exclaimed.
"What's even in it?" Lex asked.
"The boys dressed up as priest! On page 8 is father Jonah." Clara said flipping through it.
"Just..." Jonah shook his head and walked away.
"I'm not gonna ask why you thought of it, y'all are working merch I'm just an opening act. Do your thing." Lex laughed.
"Come to my merch booth it's way more lit." Kayla said into the camera.
"Bro, the booths are literally the same." Tanya stated.
"Yeah but come to mine and I'll treat you food after the show." Kayla smiled.
"Hey that's not fair! Our booths better." Tanya yelled.
I laughed as Tanya and Clara went to chase after Kayla arguing on who's booth would be better.
"FINE THEN OUR BOOTH WILL GIVE OUT NOT ONLY A WHY DONT WE BIBLE BUT FREE RAMEN NOODLES THE FOOD AND THE HAIR ON JACKS HEAD!" Clara screamed.
"CLARA YOU ARE NOT CUTTING MY HAIR!" I yelled back.
"And here we have photographer Angie and August, and the DJ duo Kyrsten and Eben!" Lex said.
"I make better edits than August." Angie said walking away.
"Eben isn't even that good of a DJ." Kyrsten shrugged.
"Anyways so everyone is arguing with each other on who's better let's go over here. Look it's the one and only Jack Avery." Lex smiled.
"Hello people that watch Lex's vlogs. If you're coming to the show can't wait to see you!" I smiled.
"Y'all are here for me." Lex smirked.
"Jack Avery who? I know a Lex Av-" I stopped myself.
"Woah..okay." Lex blushed.
"Anyways..can't wait to see you all." I said changing the subject.
"Alright guys I'm gonna end it here cause it's almost time but if you come later tonight we'll see you there!" Lex smiled.
"Bye!" We both waved.
- couple hours later
We just finished meet and greet about an hour and a half ago. Lex was about to perform soon. We were backstage and I smiled as she fixed herself over and over again. Messing around with her hair for like the millionth time. Her outfit wasn't anything extraordinary. It was simple like her, she didn't have to try hard. She still dresses like she did back then. Some things haven't changed.

"Now you may all know her from awhile back, or you may know her as Jack's other half. You may have seen her always with these boys, she's a close friend of ours and we're glad she could make it as the opening act.. give it up for Lex Anderson!" Eben yelled.
"You got this." I whispered to her.
"I got this." She smiled.
I hugged her for a few seconds then let her go. She stepped back and smiled and got up stage.
"Hey Atlanta, I'm so happy to be here. Not gonna lie though kinda nervous it's been awhile but let's just do this!" Lex laughed.
She waved to me and I waved back. As the music started to play I couldn't help but just stare.

She sang about 3 more songs till her time was up. Seeing her on stage made me smile. It reminded me one of the reasons why we're so close. Our passion for music.
"Alright now y'all have heard the band called Why Don't We. They are honestly my favorite people ever, no they're not coming up yet but just a few more minutes hang tight! Thank you guys so much for letting me perform for you all, I can't wait to see you guys soon. Good night guys enjoy the rest of the show!" Lex said as she walked off stage.
"THERE SHE IS!" I yelled.
"I did it!" She grinned.
I caught her as she ran into my arms. We stood there for awhile till I heard someone cough. Not surprised seeing it was Kayla.
"Y'all are cute." She smirked.
"I'm so proud of you." I tell her.
"Thanks." She said out of breath.
"Here." I tell her giving her a water bottle.
"Oh Lex, here's your phone." Clara grinned.
"Uhm thanks." Lex said taking it.
"Well it's my turn." I said taking a breath.
"You'll do great Avery, you always do." She said giving me a kiss on the cheek.
